SURPRISE!!!

Now most of you may have heard stories about me, stories like me telling Angell that she was getting luggage for Christmas, or me winking at mom when she told me that she liked Micheal Buble when I had gotten her that CD for Christmas, or the fact that usually by December 23rd, EVERYONE knows what they are getting from me before they get it. So I somehow got this reputation that I can't keep secrets. I would just like to tell everyone, that if I wanted to... I CAN KEEP A SECRET!!!

And as a matter of fact, I have! Yesterday was Keri's birthday, and for the last 3 weeks or so I have been planning with my dad to fly home and surprise her! And it totally worked. My parents picked me up from the airport Friday at 1, and I got home before Keri did from school. So I was just sitting on the couch when Keri came home and she walked in and my dad yelled, Keri's home, and my mom yelled, Keri's home, and I yelled... KERI'S HOME! But she really didn't respond, she said.... IM HOME! So Mom said, YAY, and Dad said YAY, and I said YAY!!! But still she didn't really respond. Then she walked into the kitchen and I peaked my head over the couch and saw her coming in from school, and then she saw me... Taras..... OH MY GOSH.... TARA'S HOME!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH........

It was the best reaction ever! She literally screamed in my ear as we hugged each other. It was so much fun!

Then on her birthday we went out to this super fancy restaurant The Landmark. (I say it was fancy because they gave me sherbet it cleanse my palet). It was so much fun!!!

So ya, and then I am just hanging out today and headed back to Idaho first thing tomorrow morning. I have so much homework to do once I get home... YUCK! But until then, I am enjoying my weekend off in lovely Arizona!!! :D

Accomplished

I love the feeling you get when you have a ton of work to do and you get it all done! Of course work in college seems like it is never done, until you take that last final of the semester and you are done! (for about a week and then another semester starts...) But really, this weekend has been so great. I read the first 5 books of the Odyssey, which is amazing for me because I am such a bad reader, and I was thinking there is no way I can keep up with the reading, but I am actually ahead as of right now! I also started working on a project that is due at the end of the semester for my humanities class, and I got a TON of it done! Now if I just do a little bit every Thursday after class I will have the easiest time getting it done. Also I wrote in my journal, which may not seem like a big deal, but when I have challenged myself to be better at journal writing, and then I miss like 3 days, it starts bumming you out, so I wrote today and got all caught up. Also I did my science project, and since class is cancelled this weekend, I have an extra 3 hours this week to get more work done! And I have been doing my Book of Mormon homework as well! And while doing this all weekend, I also had time to go to the movies, watch a movie at home, go out to dinner, and go shopping! I LOVE WALMART!!! So all-in-all its been a great weekend.

But I have a feeling next weekend is going to be SO MUCH BETTER!!!!! :D

New Favorite Movie!!!

So tonight me and my roommates all went out to dinner and a movie! I hadn't really heard all that much about his movie, but my roommate Katie W had, so we went to see it, and I LOVED IT!!! It was so much fun, so cute, so exciting, so adventurous, so intense, and SO FUNNY!!! I would totally recommend going to see this! 100% good!!!

Oh, and the actors aren't that bad looking either!!!

Alone.. not really!!!

So today is Valentines Day, and all of my roommates are gone. They are all visiting their "special someone" who lives out of state. So I was way bummed at first. Not only am I going to be dateless and single on valentines weekend, but I won't have any friends to be with anyway! WRONG!

I found out that my FHE sisters were going to be 1/2 gone as well, so me and the 2 other girls remaining from the 8 of us got together Friday night to hang out. It was the funnest Friday Night I have ever had. We went Ice Skating, and then sledding. Then when we were completely frozon, we went to the Cocoa Bean for some hot chocolate. Then I stayed the night at their place and we stayed up talking for a while. Then Saturday morning came and we all got in my car and drove to Wyoming to go snowboarding! Elizabeth had NEVER gone before, and Besty had gone only once before. So we spent a LOT of time on the little baby hill with the conveyor belt because we couldn't even go on the lift. They let me leave them now and again to ride some harder stuff, but going alone just wasn't that fun, so I would do 1 run really fast and hurry back to my friends. Finally about 2 hours into it, we got on the lift! They were so great. They never quite got turning down, but they could heal-slide their way down really well! Once the mountain closed we went to this random pizza and pasta place that showed up on my GPS. Talk about slow service. An hour and a half later we left the pizza place, and drove home. We stopped at the store to get some chapstick and ended up all getting some Ben and Jerrys as well. Then we came home and watched Shes the Man and ate our ice cream!

Today has been a fantastic day as well. I had church this morning at 9:30, and then in relief society when we do standing roll call, they called apt. 206 and I was the only one to stand up, everybody was like, your alone, you should hang out with us today!! Every one has been so nice, I haven't been alone at all! As soon as I got home my FHE brothers came over and hung out for a while. And then while they were still there my visiting teachers came over. So my FHE brothers left and I got visit taught, and then I had a presidency meeting, and everyone there invited me to hang out with them later. And then I got home and within 5 minutes of being home my dad called and I talked to my family for an hour.

So thats been my day. My lonely valentines day hasn't been lonely at all. There are so many friendly and nice people here, and of course my family loves me and I love them so much. (except Keri said she wouldn't be my valentine, and I got mad at her!!!) lol. So ya, its been a fantastic weekend!

And to top it off, we have a ward party tomorrow where we will be going to a ranch to have sledding and cross country skiing and a snowy picnic! I am so excited! :)

Amazing Weather!!!

Today has been some of the best weather we have had this whole semester. The sun was up, it was in the high 30s, and some of the snow was actually melting. I was so happy that it was such a nice day, but at the same time I was worried because I haven't had enough of the snow! Not all of it melted, but I realized that soon enough it would, and I need to soak up all the snow I can. So today I went and played in it and had my roommie Kalie take pictures of me in the snow, so that I could remember the amazing weather! So here are some of my snow-photo shoot pics!








So I know I look fat in these pics, but my jacket is just really poofy! haha... So ya, that was me having fun!!!

Bored

I am so bored this semester! With only 3 nights of classes, and only working 3 days a week... that leaves for a lot of down time. At first I loved it, but it gets old fast. All my roommates are stressed with homework and lots of classes, and I am on facebook... That's about my semester. Thursdays are good days because I am busy all day. I have work early in the morning til afternoon, some time for homework, and then I go to class. Unlike Mondays where I spend all morning doing....nothing... and then go to work in the afternoon. Then FHE, and then nothing... Tuesdays are the worst, because I don't have work, so I just hang around all day until my classes at night. I watch lots of Hulu, and I listen to Pandora a lot... that's basically it. None of my classes are hard or stressful, and my schedule isn't busy at all. I should be counting my blessings, because once April rolls around, I will be taking 15 credits and working a lot, and then I will wish that I wasn't so busy, but until then... I am just bored!

Oh, and me and my roommate Katie Wagner have fallen in love with this song called According to You. You should look it up, or just listen for it on the radio! Its so good! Oh, and we have re-fallen in love with Michael Buble this week! :) We are so goofy! :)
