Self-Esteem Class

My roommates have recently told me that I need to take a self-esteem class, I told them that that would probably be the first class that I failed!

For some reason I have been way down on myself. Luckily my roommates are amazing and they have been there to pick me up! I don't know what I would do without them.

So I don't want you to think I am being crazy prideful in any way, but I thought for my self-esteem class I should take I should probably write down 10 things I am good at, so here you go!

1. Snowboarding!
2. School work/ getting good grades.
3. Talking with people, even talking in front of people.
4. Planning things, like class schedules or events.
5. Making cookies!
6. Keeping in touch with my family and friends.
7. Critiquing American Idol!
8. Curling my hair with my chi.
9. My job, answering phones, talking to strangers, telling people about healthcare.
10. Making power-points. I made 2 this week and both are AWESOME!!!

Its kinda a sad day when I got stuck after number 3, but low and behold, I found 10 things! Maybe I can pass this self-esteem class after all!!!

Opposite of Stressed

What is the opposite of stress... relaxed, calm, not busy... whatever it is, I am it!
Last semester at this time I remember freaking out about all the finals, the white glove clean check, and I had JUST started a job and was still training which is never fun. But now, I am totally relaxed. My snowboarding class is done, I only have 1 more class in my Natural Disaster, Public Speaking, and Humanities class. Basically I am going to ace every final because they are not hard. For public speaking I just have to give my final persuasive talk, which I am giving on Healthcare, and for Humanities I have a take home final that I can use my books/notes/any thing he has given us! I am going to do that tomorrow! And for Natural Disaster I just have a test in the testing center, but I have made a TON of note cards for that test and have been studying them for the past week, so I am not worried about that at all. Other than those classes, I still have 3 more Book of Mormon classes, but those aren't hard, and the final is just to come to class and write about how we enjoyed the class and something we learned. So ya, this is going to be an easy final week. I will be officially DONE on April 6th, and then I will clean/pack on the 7th, and on the 8th and 9th I will be working at the office all day while the other girls take their finals. Then on the 10th I will move all my stuff to Birch Plaza, and once its all stored there I will drive down to Utah to spend the week at my grandmas house! I can not believe how fast this semester has gone, and I am actually really sad. This has been a great off-track, and I am SO glad I stayed instead of went home like a lot of people i know, because I had such a great time here. Next semester I have a feeling is not going to be a stress-less semester, most likely it will be stressful! But I'm ready for it!!!

Oh and if you haven't already seen... I have made a separate blog about American Idol because thats how much of a dork I am!!! Feel free to read it and leave comments!!!

Best Part of the Week

So if you know me in the least bit, you know that i absolutly LOVE American Idol! I have been watching it every year since I was 10, and I get really obsessed with it. So obsessed in fact that I have cried when the person I wanted to win didn't win... But that sad story came to a happy ending last December!!! :D

Anyway, thats not what I wanted to blog about! I wanted to say how much I love this season! I finally got the chance to watch last Tuesday and Wednesdays episode tonight. I was so into it. My roommates probably thought I was crazy, just sitting here on my computer with my head phones in, clapping and dancing and shouting!!! And then watching the results show was fun too because I was totally good at guessing. I TOTALLY knew who was going to be in the bottom 3, and then the bottom 2, but I guessed the wrong person would leave. I was all for Paige leaving, but instead Lacey left, which makes me sad, because I like her! I pretty much love everybody, so it will be interesting to see how they do each week, because as of right now anyone could be my favorite favorite. I really like Tim Urban, even though he hasn't done so great every time, I think he is way cute, and I think that he has potential to do really well, also I love the little 16 years olds, Aaron and Katie, they are both way good!! I think that they guys are pretty much better than the girls this year, even though people have been saying the opposite, I don't really think so. I don't really like Crystal Bowersox. I think she is an amazing singer, but something about her personality rubbed me wrong the first few weeks and now I just can't stand her, and the werid thing is I don't really know what it was.... Anyway, I am ready for Paige to leave, but other than her I think it is kinda anyones game! And I love that the judges get to save someone again this year, like they saved Matt last year! That made me happy! So ya, I love this show, and I am sad that Lacey is leaving, and Crystal is not my favorite! :D

This year has been so weird with American Idol. I pretty much only watch the episode once, unlike last year where I would re-watch the peoples performances multiple times a week. And since I watch it online days after the real performance, I don't get to vote. Which is WAY SAD! And this year I don't really have someone I can talk to about it. I would ALWAYS have my family to talk with, and then the next day I would go to school and either spend all 0 hour chemistry talking about it, or the entire lunch time talking about it, or I would non-stop talk about it on the way to seminary, all with my bff Staci. I still text her about it occasionally, but its just not the same. Staci, if you're reading this, I MISS YOU!!! So ya, its just been weird watching it alone.... But its all good. American Idol is still my favorite past-time! haha!!!

Snowboarding!

Today was my last day snowboarding for this winter. If I wanted to I could go up again on a Saturday because I do have a season pass that lasts for another month, but unless the temperature drops and a ton of snow comes, I don't think I will. It was a good last day, except for the weather was not the greatest. I am used to boarding in the teen weather, one time it was even like 5 below at the top, and I was totally fine with that. Today it was in the 40s, and it was so gross. It did not feel like snowboarding in Wyoming, it felt like I was playing soccer in Pheonix, in August. Okay, maybe thats not the best comparison, but it was really hot. But the best part of my day was when I saw a sign that said photographer, and I saw the person take a picture of me. At the end of the day I went to see my pic, and they were selling them for like 20 dollars, and I was like, no thanks! But they put them online, so I kinda took some them from that!

So ya, this is me doing my most favorite thing EVER!!! Thanks again parents for getting me into this fabulous sport. I can't wait to have kids of my own and take them on ski trips! Best part of the year for sure!!!

Confused

  • Where is all the snow going? It used to be all snow, and now its like... gone!

  • Also... I lost an hour of sleep the other night, and I DID NOT like it.... what the heck is wrong with the world, changing the hours on us. Arizona knows how to do it!

  • Was the weather man lying when he said it was going to be 50 tomorrow? I hope not!!!

But ya, I'm not really confused, I understand that snow melts, and daylight savings time is normal, I guess... but whatever!!!

:D love ya!

Next Semester Classes

So I was super annoyed last night. I stayed up until midnight so I could register for my classes, but the internet stopped working on the my.byui.edu page (probably because over 1000 people were trying to register...). So instead of waiting and waiting, I went to bed and woke up when my roommates got up to go to work. So at 3:30am the computer was running a lot faster, and I got my classes. I was annoyed though, because all the classes I wanted were available, but 2 of them I need prereqes, and it didn't say that on the class until I tried to add it and it wouldn't let me. So crazy! Like English 101, I was pretty sure I got that covered my senior year, but I guess my senior year English class transfered over as like ENG 111, so I don't have to take 111, but 101 is still required, so I have to take that next semester. Which is so lame, because I hate English!

Anyway, here is my list of classes:
  • Survey of Accounting
  • Introduction to Finance
  • Writing and Reasoning
  • The American Epidemic
  • Medical Terminology
  • Teachings of the Living Prophets
  • Softball
That equals 17 credits hours!

I can't wait for next semester, but I am pretty scared that its going to kick my butt! Oh well!

Wednesday, March 3

I must be CRAZY!!!

So today, instead of going snowboarding like I do every Wednesday, I stayed home and did homework. HOW LAME!!!

Because I went to AZ this weekend, I got behind, and I had a TON of catching up to do with not a ton of time. So this morning, being the responsible adult I am, decided that getting an A in my humanities and science class is probably more important than 4 hours on the mountain, so I stayed home. Even though I REALLY REALLY wanted to go to the mountain.

Instead I read 3 books in the Odyssey, and caught up! And I studied for my Natural Disaster Exam that opens tomorrow, and I am feeling way confident on that so thats a positive. I also studied for both humanities quizzes that I should be taking tomorrow, also a good thing to do.

I don't have to do anymore real homework for another week now, just a little more studying before each test/quiz, so thats a good thing.

I'm glad that I caught up on everything, but sad I had to give up my favorite part of the week to do it, good thing I am going this Saturday to the mountain!!! :D

Giving up snowboarding for studying... I must be crazy!!!
