I just can't wait....

To be king.....

Just kidding, just when I wrote the title "I just can't wait", the Lion King popped into my head! What I really can't wait for is to go on my mission! Each day that passes is one day closer to putting my papers in, and one day closer to leaving! Last night I had a dream that was SO REAL about me going to Denver on my mission, and just a couple of days ago I finished Preach My Gospel for the first time. I have been reading that as part of my scripture study in the morning, and WOW... best book EVER!!! This morning as I was getting ready for church, I put my EFY music on shuffle, and the song All Times, All Things, All Places came on first. Here is the first verse and chorus;

It's not in the letter, i can't wait to open.
It's not in the badge that will carry his name.
It's not gonna in just three weeks of study
Or magically come when I get on a plane,
So today I'm becoming who I'm meant to be,
The worthy unshakeable witness he needs

At all Times, All things, All places,
I will sing and shout His praises,
I will tell the whole world that I know what his grace is
At all times, in all things, in all places...

If you haven't heard that song, you need to look it up and listen to it. Its a good one!

I have always known that I wanted to serve a mission, but this, "one day I will..." dream is now a, "in the next couple months I am going to..." dream! And I really need to start preparing! Worst thing ever would be if I am out there telling everyone that this is something I have wanted to do since I was 14, and not be prepared to actually do the work! So I started to read Preach My Gospel for the second time, I am reading the Book of Mormon daily, and I am attending the temple weekly, (but the next two weeks the Temple is going to be closed! I might just have to road trip to Idaho Falls!) I am going to take a Mission Prep class through school next semester, and through Sunday School. And a huge way I need to prepare is physically! I am doing the Biggest Winner program through my school, which is basically like the Biggest Loser show. Also next semester I am going to take a Military Fitness Class at 6:30 in the morning. I heard people leave that class able to run half marathons. (Thats not really my goal, but if I can run and not be weary, maybe I can bike all day and not be weary, which would be very helpful on my mission!) I just want to be prepared every single way for the best 18 months that are ahead of me!

Now for another song to close the blog:
I hope, they call me on a mission! [Now that] I have grown a foot or two!!!! I hope, by then I will be ready, to teach and preach and work as missionaries do!

2011

Usually this is the time that people would say... "I can't believe this year is over!" or... "This year has gone by so fast, its been a blur." Well... not for me! My blog is going to start like this...

IT'S FINALLY OVER!!!!!!!!
2011 was a long year, and not my favorite if I'm being honest. A lot of great things happened this year, don't get me wrong.

  • Babies were born

3 day Abby isn't as much fun as 7 month Abby, but I still like this picture!
(although I haven't met Baby Brinley yet, I already love her as much as I do the others!)
  • Weddings were attended
This is Keri and I at Alexa and Tophers wedding in their photo booth.
This is Keri, Alexa, Natalee and I at Grant and Alyssa's wedding in their photo booth!

(P.S. I decided I wanted a photo booth at my wedding!!!)

And there were more cousins weddings that I didn't go to, and the Royal wedding, and the Kardashian wedding... so all in all it was a good year for weddings!

  • Vacations!!!
Park City with the family and Amy!
San Diego with my mom! (Also... I turned 20 years old!)

And I went to Denver, Colorado, but my camera was broken so I don't have pictures of me there.

  • And I got to see David Archuleta preform for one of the last times before he leaves for his mission! Woohoo!
Also in 2011, I did a lot of school, and even more work. 2011 was a working year it felt like. Winter and Spring I worked a lot of hours, more than I ever had, and then I worked all summer break, and then my internship was a 40 hour a week job. (So you would think I should have a lot more money since I worked so much, but I don't!)

All in all, I loved my internship, but that is most definitely the reason the year went so slow for me. Since July all I have been doing is working 8-5. Then I would come home and do a lot of nothing. I read books, I watched movies, hulu and TV, I worked out occasionally, I shopped (a lot), I went out to eat, and I took naps. I even started donating plasma this year, not because I needed the money, just because I needed something to do!

I'm really really looking forward to 2012! This year is going to be non-stop crazyness! For the next 7 months, I am going to be the best student this school as ever seen. For about 1 week in that 7 months I plan on going to Ohio so I can meet that Baby Brinley, and then after that 7 months... I'm moving. I will probably be gone for about 18 months, and I'm not sure where I'm going to go. But I do know that wherever I go, I will LOVE it! I am going to start my mission this year, and I will be a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I have never been so excited about something in my whole life! I will start my papers in about 3 months, get my call in about 4 months, and ship out right after I graduate! I can't wait!!!

2012... HERE I COME!!!

Rexburg Fall

Today as I drove home from work, I found myself looking at the trees more than the road (Don't worry, I was still driving safely). I was just hypnotized by the colors of the fall! When it snowed a few weeks ago, I was so mad that winter was approaching. But that was just a little fluke, and it is back to fall as it should be. Then I realized that this is the last fall I will spend in Rexburg. I only have 277 days until I graduate. (I know that might seem like its a far way away, but I know it will come fast!) The winter will be long, I know this for a fact, and then by the time spring rolls around, I will basically be done! I figured out today which classes I'm going to take in the winter, and then in the spring I will only have to take 3 classes. And even though I won't be taking 14 credits, the school will still give me a scholarship and I will be able to work too! Anyway, what I'm most excited about right now is for my 21st birthday... because (drum roll please........) I will go on a mission!!!!!

My roommate Tamazine just got her call last Thursday! She is going on a cruise with santa... oh wait, I mean she is going to Santa Cruz, Bolivia! How awesome is that! I have been extremely covetous the last couple days as she went to mission prep and received a copy of Preach My Gospel and made an appointment with the Bishop to get her temple recommend! I have been wanting this since I was 14, and I'm so close, and yet still so far! Ahhh....

Tonight for FHE we shared our favorite scripture with everyone. I thought maybe I could share it with ya'll. I read this in the 10th grade in Brother Goettl's D&C class. When I read it for the first time, I marked it up and wrote next to it: My Missionary Scripture. I decided that day that I was going to serve a full time mission and that when I do, this scripture would be on my mission plaque that would hang in Vintage Ranch's ward for 18 months.

D&C 15:6
And now, behold, I say unto you, that the thing which will be of the most worth unto you will be to declare repentance unto this people, that you may bring souls unto me, that you may rest with them in the kingdom of my Father. Amen.

I can't wait to be a full-time missionary! It's more exciting to me than anything else right now! Only 178 days until I can submit my papers! Then I will be off to Mesa to go through the Temple for the first time, and then I will be off to where ever I am called!

So anyway, I started to write this blog about how pretty the fall is right now, and got a little off topic! Maybe I will get called to serve in Pocatello and will be able to see the fall again! Maybe not ;) Either way, I'm excited!!!

Where'd it go?

So in the summer, the wards are a little bit messed up. My ward wasn't meeting, so I went to the 4th ward. I didn't see my bishop all summer so I didn't pay my tithing. Instead I have a sticky note on my computer that I have been adding up all the tithing money I owe, so when my ward is back I can pay it. Well I was looking up what I owe, and I can't imagine that I made all that money this summer. By the looks of it, I should have made quite the little fortune this summer, working 40 hours hours a week for almost 2 months adds up! And yet, looking at my bank account, I have nothing! I just don't understand! Okay, I do... maybe this has something to do with the fact that I can spend money like a teenager with daddy's credit card! Most of it is spent on doing things too, not even on stuff! I spend money to go to the movies, to go to dinner, to go to Idaho Falls... The last time I bought myself something just to have something was the aloe vera lotion I got after my trip to the salon (See This Blog Post). I don't really know what I wanted to accomplish in writing this blog, besides just complaining about my poor-ness. One day I will be better at saving more money! Until then, I think I'm just going to be a "starving college student" for the next 11 months of my life.

Goals

First I want to start this blog by showing everyone what was on my facebook wall yesterday...

That was from my old roommate Bri, basically one of the greatest people you will ever meet! I just thought this was super funny and felt like more people should see it! She's the best!

Okay, now for the real reason I'm blogging. I have always been the kind of person making goals for myself. But I'm not really the best at keeping my goals. When I was in YW, they rewarded me for the goals that I finished. So I decided that I should do the same sort of thing. Yesterday I bought a calendar and some stickers. I have decided that each sticker is going to represent one of my new goals. Every day that I do said goal, I will reward myself with a sticker. At the end of the month I will be able to see how many stickers I got in total! I'm actually quite thrilled about this new idea! I'm not going to go into detail on each goal I have, because some of them are a little personal, but I can tell you one of them is working out! I need to get back in the hang of it so bad! I have been known in the past to be really good at it, and then something happens and I lose my rhythm, and it is so hard for me to get back in the swing of things. I am re-starting tomorrow! (Ok how many times have I said that before!) But really, I have my stickers, and I am determined to get one each day! Also there is a program at my school called the Biggest Winner. Its run by students, and students can join it. I wanted to do it a while ago, but my body fat percentile was 2 less than the required amount. I'm not sure what I'm at now, but I have gained weight, so I'm thinking I should be good! Hopefully if I get into that, I will be working out a lot next semester! If not, I have some back up ideas, like working out with my dear roommates in the mornings!

I had an eye opening experience while I was sick with pink eye! (Eye opening... Pink eye.... Its a pun!) -if you don't find that funny, it may be that you are on the outside of an inside joke, sorry! Anyway, I was watching Say Yes to the Dress. One girl on the show was a little bigger than the average girl. She found her perfect dress, but they didn't have it in her size. Then she found another dress she loved, but it cost an additional $1600 to make it in her size! I am not going to be the bride who can't find a dress or have to pay so much more for my size!!! Also on that show an episode later, there was this tiny little 23 year old looking for her dress. Her mom wanted her to have a more fitting dress to show off her new figure. This girl went from 200 lbs to about 130 by working out and eating right! If she can do it... SO CAN I!!! Hence the goal calendar idea!

The hardest thing for me won't be the working out... it will be the eating right! I eat out WAY too much, my roommates will attest to that, and I love to buy myself treats! Both of those need to stop like... now! Its going to be very hard for me, but I am determined to lose the weight!!! Feel free to be my support system! If you know of a good healthy food I can easily make, email me! If you know of a great work-out routine that you love, put it on my facebook! If you just want to send me words of advice, text me! I am totally available and want to hear everything you have to say!

So here is to me and my goals! I hope I can read this post in a few months and say, yup... that worked out GREAT!!!

Being 20!!!

What is it like being 20?

Its. Like. Heaven!

Its like sleeping in...
Its like showering in a shower with two heads! (Which by the way is very luxurious.)
Its like going to the pool and tanning.
Its like going to the beach and tanning.
Its like taking fun roadtrips and listening to my favorite music!
Its like playing card games with my mom all day long!
Its like WINNING card games all day long! (hahahaha)
Its like watching TLC and Chopped!
Its like going to the spa!
Its like being on vacation! Oh wait, its exactly like being on Vacation!!!

On my 20th birthday, my parents had planned to let me go to California with some of my best friends. I had been planning on the vacation of a lifetime since about April... but some things changed last minute. It ended up being just me and my mom, and let me tell you, it was the BEST VACATION EVER!!! My mom and I had so much fun! We got there Friday evening and just took the night to chill. Saturday we went to the Outlet mall and got some fun things! Then we went to the movies and saw The Help! Sunday we just chilled, we watched a lot of Chopped and just hung out and played games. Monday we went to the spa and the beach, Tuesday we spent a lot of time by the pool, Wednesday the beach again, and Thursday the pool again! It was all about spending time in the sun! I really didn't even get all the burned, just tan! (kinda!) Thursday afternoon we drove back and my mom is on her way back to Cali right now for a cousins wedding. I am just chilling in my parents house right now waiting for Kyle and his daughter to come over! This morning I went out by our pool and finished reading my book! Even though I'm not in Cali, I'm still on vacation!!!

I have a feeling that being 20 is going to be the best year for me! I am super excited for two main parts of this year. 1) I am going to get my bachelors degree this year. 2) I am going to get my MISSION CALL this year!!! Like I said, I think being 20 is going to be the best year EVER!!!

Boredom

"Boredom is an emotional state experienced when an individual is without any work or is not interested in their surroundings."
-wikipedia

I haven't been bored in a long time... I am always so busy between school and work that I don't even have time to think about being bored. But I am done with school, until January at least, and I'm afraid that I am going to get bored. I remember talking to Ty right after he finished his bachelors degree. He was saying how bored he was when he got done with work, because he had no assignments to work on, no papers to write, nothing to study, and nothing to learn! I laughed at him at the time, but now I am feeling his pain! Today I did 10 sudoku puzzles! TEN!!! Thats way to many for 1 day. The LAST thing I want to do is be bored without school. I thought about taking online classes, but there really isn't a point. I have 2 semesters left, and I need to save my classes for those.

So I need to think of things to keep me occupied between the hours of 5p.m. and 8a.m. I will be sleeping for probably 8 of those hours, but that still leaves 8 hours for me when I'm not asleep and when I'm not at work to do something... So what should it be!? I have decided that I am going to give plasma this summer. It will be nice to have a little extra cash, and it really is good to give plasma! So that will be my extra money/service project twice a week! I will be attending the temple more regularly than I have been during the semester. I need it! And I also plan on like losing 400 pounds! (K not really... but 40 would be nice!) So sometime I will have to schedule in working out! But I still am afraid I will have a lot of down time! I have contemplated getting a 2nd job, maybe a part time night thing where I just work 6 to 10 each evening at some restaurant or opinion center or something... Just because if I'm not working, I will be sitting in front of my laptop or TV, and that is no way to spend a summer.

Any ideas of new hobbies or fun things to do to keep me occupied are much appreciated! I really don't want to be bored!!!

New Job!!!

I got a new job today, technically it is an internship, but its a lot better than an internship! Its a full time paid job working as the Operations Lead at the health center! They have never had middle management at the health center before, and one of the Doctors that works there just made three new positions open up for students in the middle management area. So of course I applied, had an interview last Friday, and got one of the positions today! Its not the position I applied for, but the Doctor told me this position was harder. He said they really needed me to be the Operations Lead! So I agreed to taking it and I let my supervisor know that I wouldn't be a receptionist in the Fall. I'm a little confused as of right now what my day to day job will look like. I know I will be working 8 hours a day between the hours of 8 to 5. They said I might need to learn how to work in the back just in case they need someone in the back, so I might be getting some training in Medical Assisting!!! As the operations lead I will be working in between the doctors and the students. My current supervisor will now report to me, which I think is going to be really weird! I'm going to be getting paid more than I have ever earned before, so I'm really excited to save up lots of money for Grad School, since I haven't been the best at saving my part-time job money. I will start working sometime this summer. They want me to start the week before school starts, but since I will be at the SHC all summer as a receptionist, I might get a head start on some of my work then! I filled out some paperwork today to get it approved as my internship. Once its approved I will drop the classes I originally signed up for and postpone them until the Winter. So my new plan is Fall-Internship, Winter-Full Semester of classes, Spring- 3 classes I have left over, July 2012- GRADUATE!!! Thats in 54 weeks my friends! I graduate in 54 short weeks... oh no, then I have to be a real person... I'm not sure if I'm ready for that! Good thing I have 54 long weeks until that happens! Yay for plans changing and for being excited about them!!!

Planner

I had a very funny conversation with a friend of mine the other day. He was stressing about how hard his chemistry class is, and how he has to take the next class next semester! Since registration opened this week, he was telling me how next semester he is taking the next Chem. class, Biology, and Physics, all of which are 4 credits and super hard! And the thought of taking all of them at once was really overwhelming him. As I’m listening to him freak out, I thought… dude, Calm Down!!!

The conversation reminded me of a story I heard once, I think it was in General Conference. I just spent about 30 minutes searching for it though, and I couldn’t find it. But in the story, there is someone who has to undergo a lot of chemotherapy treatments for her cancer. She was saying how she just doesn’t think she can go through 20 or so more. But somebody asked her, “Can you go through just one more?” She said that she thinks she could do one more. The person made his point that she just has to do one at a time. Instead of thinking about everything at once, just take it one treatment at a time, one day at a time. (I really wish I could have found this story, if you know what it is please let me know!)

Then my friend said something that really shocked me. He said… AAHHH… Just make my decision for me! Tell me what to do! The reason that shocked me is because I had JUST asked my parents to tell me what I should do the day before my friend asked me! When he asked me I just laughed at him and said, I can’t tell you what to do! Even though I was mad when my parents didn’t tell me what to do!

He said that he was a planner, and that he needs everything to be planned out. Well I am the same exact way! I have my summer and fall planned out, I know what I want to do in the winter, I just need to find an internship. I know what classes I have to take for next spring, and I have the day to sign up for graduation in my phone so I won’t forget it! Then I plan on going on a mission, coming home and applying to Grad Schools, and then I will graduate with a Masters Degree in spring 2016, and I will only be 24 years old!!! So ya… I’m a planner too! And sometimes thinking about everything I have to do scares me. But if I can just remember to take everyday just one at a time, life would be so much easier. I do not need to stress over things that are not even happening in my life yet! Just like my friend shouldn’t stress about all the classes that he is not even taking yet! I just need to remember that today is Wednesday, and I only need to get done the things on my Wednesday to-do list, not my life-time to-do list!

As in the words of on the talented Jordin Sparks…
*One step at a time
There’s no need to rush
It’s like learning to fly
Or falling in love…*
(Not sure what the last two parts of the song have to do with my blog, but just go with it!)

Spring!

I was so mad when I saw that my favorite sister in law had updated her blog with this...

this blog now has an new post :)

Really Natalee?! Really...

Anyway, I thought I would blog about my new semester! I realized while I was talking with my dad last night that I am already 3 weeks into the semester! So far its just flown by! I am keeping really busy, but still have time to watch all my shows! haha...
So... my semester so far...

Classes = Awesome!
Homework = Not too bad!
Roommates = Coolest People EVER!
Job = well...

Seriously though, I really love this semester! I have classes that I am excited to go to everyday, and I am keeping up with my homework pretty well! Taking 15 credits + 20 hours of work a week can make for a busy busy girl. Lets just say, Mon-Fri 8-5 is completely booked... but thats life! I'm surviving!

Here is the most exciting part of what this semester holds for me...

I'M GOING TO DENVER!!! Here is whats happening. I got accepted to do an Internship Expedition in Denver next month! So I am going to meet with a bunch of healthcare professionals in Denver and try to set up an internship with them! I'm so so so excited! I think about it every day! I got my flight information today!!! YAY!!!

An Ode... to Amy Webb and Park City!!!

One time, Amy Webb and I became best friends! In this friendship, she made me a book! It was the adventures of Amy and Tara. In this adventure book, we had lots and lots of adventures. And one of the adventures was going to Park City! Thats right, Amy came with my family on our vacation to Park City! Well at the end of the book, she put... To Be Continued...

So this is the to be continued part of the story. My dear friend Amy Webb is joining my family again this year in Park City!!! It is going to be awesome! I am going to pick her up at the SLC airport, (does TSA stand for The Salt Lake Airport?) and then the two of us will drive our way through the canyon to the wonderful Park City Utah!!!

Oh my goodness, I cannot even wait! We are going to have the best time EVER!!! :D

Amy... if you are reading this... I want you to know... I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

Its The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Well it happened... it is winter time. And not like according to the calender Winter, because that is still a while away. I'm talking about big coat wearing, snow falling, nose freezing, hot chocolate drinking, crying when you walk outside... winter! Today was the first snow fall of the season. So to celebrate, I went and got myself a hot chocolate from the Crossroads! Perfect!
Here are things I am looking forward to this season...

Drinking more hot chocolate, from the crossroads and from Cocoa Bean!

Going sledding, ice skating, having snowball fights, and SNOWBOARDING!!!

Taking pictures with my roommates in the snow!

Seeing the Temple with the grounds as white as the building!

Watching Elf, a Christmas Story, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and How to Train Your Dragon (I know its not Christmas-y, I just really love that one!)

Now for all of you that think I am a little too optimistic, here are some things I'm not looking forward to.

The day that it is too cold to even snow...

The feeling you get when you walk outside and your nose hairs turn to ice (sorry if thats too descriptive for you, it really happens though.)

The snow that I will have to scrap off my car every time I get into it, and then driving in that snow!

And the slippery ice that makes me slip and fall, (I remember thinking, Hey! I am predominately slipping, and then you tripped, ya, we don't do that!) hahahahahahaha

Anyway, I am excited and scared for the snow to be here for real!

Ghosts of Birthdays Past

If you know me, (which I hope you do since you are reading my blog, if not you're a creeper and maybe should stop reading this) then you might know that I love my birthday! Its the real deal for me! I'm getting so excited for tomorrow! The Big 1-9! I CANT WAIT!!! haha, In all honesty, this isn't that big of a birthday, but there is kind of a negative connotation when you tell people up here that you're only 18! I can see where it comes from because some 18 year old college students can act silly, me included, but still, being 19 just sounds so much better! But I did like that I could say, ya I'm a junior, oh and I'm 18... That was kinda fun for a while!

Anyway, I was thinking about my past few birthdays, and wanted to reminisce on them...

15th- It was a Saturday, and there was a Stake Dance that night! My moms present to me was some cash and a trip to the mall! I loved it, I got a lot of cute new clothes and got all ready for the dance that night! And then my friends told the DJ it was my Birthday and they sang to me! Ahhh.... fun times!

16th- I had gotten my cast off 2 days before my birthday. My parents told me that was my birthday present! NO MORE CAST!!! Not quite the present I wanted, but I liked not having the cast. It was a Sunday on my birthday and when I got home from church, my best friend Amy had snuck into my house and decorated my room. Like hard core decorations. Pink streamers and more pink balloons than I have ever seen! What a sweetheart she is! Then later that day my parents pulled me aside and said, hey, we need to talk... I thought I was getting in trouble on my birthday, instead they asked me if I was interested in a trip to Europe for the next summer! UM, HECK YES!!!
Who would turn that down?!?! The next day I got 16 balloons from my friends at school, and my dad picked me up and took me to the DMV to get my license! Good times!

17th- My senior year had JUST started, and I needed a job, badly! What a hard first few weeks of school it was looking for a job. I had an interview on my birthday, so lame! So since I was an awesome senior and had a half day at school, I had a lunch party for my friends and me. It was Hannah Montana themed! And no, I wasn't and am still not ashamed of that! It was awesome. We had pizza and cake, and then I opened presents from my friends! I miss them a ton! After the party I scurried off to the interview, which I bombed, and then came home and ate some more cake! :D

18th- This probably SHOULD be the most exciting, but it was just kind of another day. My parents were both out of town, and Amy was gone somewhere too... I went to work where I wore a princess crown all day, and then my boss paid for me to go out to lunch with all my coworkers. We went to Barros, which I just put together is what pizza I ate on my 17th. Then when I got off work, Keri was at home as cute as ever. She had drawn me a picture of all the fun things I can do now that I am 18! I loved it. Then I called my friends Morgan and Staci, and us with Keri went to dinner at the yummy Italian place behind my subdivision.

And for the future...
19th- AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! I am going to go to my class in the morning, take a mid-term (blah) and then go to IF to pick up my parents at the airport. Then we are going straight to the Honda dealership where I will buy myself the best birthday present ever! A CAR!!! I can't wait, I think I am going to name it Clive... :D Then my parents and I are going to go to The Olive Garden, and then play Settlers of Catan, and then my friend with a movie projector is going to show Sherlock Holmes on the side of a building and we are all getting together to watch it! Then on Saturday, Party at the Dunes!!! :D

So ya, I love my birthdays! Thanks mom for giving me a birthday! LOVE YA!!!

Just Waiting...

I don't know if anyone else has ever thought about this, but it has been on my mind a lot lately. I feel like I spend my entire life waiting. It seems like there is always something that is going to be happening that I am waiting for.

For example today:
Went to work, and spent the day waiting to be done with work.
Sent a text message to someone, and waited to get a respond.
Went to the kitchen to make my lunch, and waited for the microwave to beep.
Then I get off work, and now I am waiting for my friend to get off work...
I'm sure when I get to Red Robin tonight I will be sitting there waiting for my food to come.

In the long run...
I am waiting for someone to get back into town!
I am waiting for my parents to come see me!
I am waiting for my birthday!
I am waiting to get my new car!
I am pretty much always waiting for a text message.
I am waiting for my roommies to return back to me in the fall.
I am waiting to get my scholarship money!
I am waiting for the day I can go home again (probably Thanksgiving and then Christmas)
I am waiting for the best vacation ever! PARK CITY! (even if I can only go 1 day)

In the longer run...
I am waiting to be done with school so I can start working!
I am waiting to see if Graduate school really is for me.
I am waiting to find the special someone who will take me through the temple so we can be married for time and all eternity.
I am waiting to be a cute little house wife.
I am waiting to go on vacations with my siblings and their spouses to Disneyland (which my sister promised we would do since I missed the last Disneyland trip)
I am waiting for the day that I will leave my kids with my husband and meet my sister at Paradise Bakery Cafe like we have talked about so many times!
I am waiting the day that I will return to Europe, even if that day doesn't exist, I am still waiting for it!

point is, I feel like I am always just waiting... Maybe if I spent more time in the moment than looking forward to future events, life wouldn't feel so long!!!

I'm a Junior!

Well I have officially taken my last final for the semester, which means I have completed 60 credits, which means I am a junior in college!!! Not too much longer and I will be done! :D

This semester was... horrible. Ok thats a lie! I really didn't do that bad. It was just really stressful, but its over now, and Keri gets here in less than 2 hours and I am so excited!

I don't really know what else to say. The last couple weeks of my life have been pretty boring, I have been doing a lot of projects and homework and studying! But now I'm done, at least until Tuesday. gotta love having a summer vacation that lasts only 4 days! haha, not!

Just in case you didn't know, I am crazy! I am staying here in the 7 week break and I am taking a Doctrine and Covenants class and working full time. So from 10-5 I will be busy Monday through Thursday, and then Friday I will be working 8-5! But then at night and on the weekend I will be partying it up every night! I'm so excited for the summer!!!

Back at it!

So last week I had a wonderful break! I spent the week at my grandparents house in Orem! It was way fun being able to see some of my friends at BYU! And then my sister Angell came with her kiddos, and that was also super fun! Then on Saturday my dad ran the SLC Marathon, and we went down to see him! What a crazy man! Then, on Sunday I came back to Rexburg!

My new apartment is awesome! My roommates are so much fun! Yesterday before classes started, me and Gaby went shopping, we got our books, grocerys, some decorations, and then I went to work for a few hours. When I came back we started to decorate our apartment, and so far it looks GREAT! I will take pictures when it is all done and clean! Then we had a "roommate meeting/party" last night becasue we didn't have FHE set up yet. We introduced ourselves, we talked about decoration ideas, we named the apartment (the name is... The Yoorooga, it means The Home in some language we don't know!) Then we had a roommate excursion where we went to Horkleys and got our soda cups that we can use this semester! Horkleys has way cheap soda, espically when its a refill! Then we played this card game that I had never heard of before, but I dominated! I don't know if they will want to play games with me anymore!

After that I got ready and went to bed! Then I was up this morning at 6 getting ready for my classes. I had 2 today, Medical Terminology and Teachings of the Living Prophets. So far I like them both! Tuesdays are my nice easy days! Tomorrow I have 4 classes, American Epidemic, Accounting, Managing Healthcare Providers, and a Finance class! On top of that I have to work for 3 hours tomorrow! Pretty much I will be on campus from 7:30 until 5:00 just in classes and working, then I will have to go to the library to study! Ahhh....

But ya, so far so great! I have a feeling its going to be a great semester!!!

Opposite of Stressed

What is the opposite of stress... relaxed, calm, not busy... whatever it is, I am it!
Last semester at this time I remember freaking out about all the finals, the white glove clean check, and I had JUST started a job and was still training which is never fun. But now, I am totally relaxed. My snowboarding class is done, I only have 1 more class in my Natural Disaster, Public Speaking, and Humanities class. Basically I am going to ace every final because they are not hard. For public speaking I just have to give my final persuasive talk, which I am giving on Healthcare, and for Humanities I have a take home final that I can use my books/notes/any thing he has given us! I am going to do that tomorrow! And for Natural Disaster I just have a test in the testing center, but I have made a TON of note cards for that test and have been studying them for the past week, so I am not worried about that at all. Other than those classes, I still have 3 more Book of Mormon classes, but those aren't hard, and the final is just to come to class and write about how we enjoyed the class and something we learned. So ya, this is going to be an easy final week. I will be officially DONE on April 6th, and then I will clean/pack on the 7th, and on the 8th and 9th I will be working at the office all day while the other girls take their finals. Then on the 10th I will move all my stuff to Birch Plaza, and once its all stored there I will drive down to Utah to spend the week at my grandmas house! I can not believe how fast this semester has gone, and I am actually really sad. This has been a great off-track, and I am SO glad I stayed instead of went home like a lot of people i know, because I had such a great time here. Next semester I have a feeling is not going to be a stress-less semester, most likely it will be stressful! But I'm ready for it!!!

Oh and if you haven't already seen... I have made a separate blog about American Idol because thats how much of a dork I am!!! Feel free to read it and leave comments!!!
