Obsessed Part 2

So this week has been a VERY exciting week... with 3 more amazing finales to blog about!!!

Make It or Break It had such a good finale! I was so glad that the girls finally worked things out and won GOLD!!!! But I was VERY disappointing that they made Max gay... that kind of ruined it for me. He was like my favorite! And I'm really glad that Lauren came clean with the whole thing about Sasha and that he forgave her! I was so scared when Payson accepted the money, and then she got offered a scholorship... that was pretty sad! It was a really good finale, I'm just so mad that Emily isn't there at all anymore. I thought maybe they would bring her back this episode or something, but nope... shes gone! So sad.

Glee is probably my most favorite show at the time! I have been dying all season because Finn and Rachel haven't been together. And then last week when he finally broke up with Quinn, I was SO EXCITED!!! Then when they got to NYC this last episode and Rachel said she couldn't be with him, my heart broke a little bit! I thought she was being very dumb about the whole thing. But I thought the NYC experience was great. I loved when Rachel and Kurt sang Wicked on the Broadway Stage! And I loved that they had breakfast at Tiffanys. They are so cute! Also I loved nationals, I thought the other groups were really good and so was New Directions! Okay, the first song Finn wrote was AMAZING! And then the fact that they kissed after the song... WOAH! That was pretty epic. The whole place was quite and it was really crazy... Then Mr. Shoester started to clap and they sang their next song... and then they didn't win. I was sad... but lets be honest, if they won, the show couldn't get much better. At least now they have next season to try and win Nationals! And Finn and Rachel better stay together! They were so kiss, the kiss in the library was SO CUTE!!! I didn't expect them to win anyway. OH! And Mercades and Sam! Did anyone else think that was a great match! I am so happy for both of them!!! :D
-Side Note, a Glee song just came on my Pandora! Its Sam singing Baby! Big fan, big fan!!!

And now for the real deal, the main reason people own a TV. American Idol!
I thought they did a really great finale! I really liked Casey singing with Jack Black! I also loved Lauren and Carrie Underwood! But lets be honest, the best part was Lady Gaga! (Ok, that was sarcastic...) I really did like crazy Steven Tyler singing his song. I LOVE that song, and he did a really good job at it! (Obviously... its his song! haha) Then... it was time. I was holding my breath. I couldn't take it anymore! I needed to know... all these thoughts were running through my mind. Each performance they all did, each funny thing they did, their auditions, everything about them, when my thoughts were interrupted by Ryan announcing that SCOTTY WON!!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!!! Go Scotty! He has been a favorite of mine since his audition! SO GOOD! Also, I have been saying that Scotty and Lauren should go out, and guess what, THEY ARE! At least I think they are! Its all over the internet today that these two are together. They way they kissed after he won, and how he hugged her super long and said that he will always love her... these little things tipped me off! I hope they can have a long and happy American Idol relationship!!! hahahaa

So I think that is all my shows! They are all over. I'm kinda heart broken. I have been watching The Voice on Hulu, so I guess I will keep watching that. But thats about it. Now to get back to real life. I am trying to finish all my homework due next Tuesday so that I don't have any homework to do to distract me from this little sweetheart...

Abigail Cordner, Born May 25, 2011 around 6:20 a.m. 7lbs 10 oz, 21 inches long!
I can't wait to go home tomorrow to play with her! And by play I mean just look at and maybe hold since 3 day olds don't really feel like playing! hahaha

Two Weeks Notice

Here is my two week notice!

Dear Rexburg, you have 2 weeks to get all this crappy weather out of the way. When I come back next semester it better not be here. OR ELSE! (jk, how do I threaten the weather... really!)

Dear male population (and some females too), you have 2 more weeks to talk about this Madness that goes on in March. Luckily now that BYU is out I won't be hearing as much about this Mr. Jimmer guy. I have gotten to the point that I pretty much zone out when I hear his name... lets be honest people, I DON'T CARE!!! And last night, having to watch him with his weird band-aid on his chin OVER American Idol... well that was just the last straw. No more Ms. Nice Girl.... American Idol takes priority over Jimmer. Sorry Jimmer but it just does. (side rant... I CAN'T BELIEVE the judges saved that weird leprechaun Casey! Saves are meant to be used when there is a really good top 4, not when the bad person gets kicked off during the top 11! Crazies!)

Dear classes, you have 2 weeks left! And yet inside of me I feel like you are never going to end. I hate you. Honestly, I have never hated a group of classes more so than this semester. Usually I have one or two classes, Accounting, or Business Communications, that I can't stand. But having a semester full of stupid classes is just about killing me! 2 more weeks, and I will never think about you dumb classes ever again! :P

Dear current roommates, we only have 2 weeks left together. This really does make me sad, and I'm sorry for bailing out on you and moving to American Manor. Its not personal I promise, I just desperately need a change. I will miss you dearly and promise to still hang out with you.

Dear future roommate (Tamazine) - ONLY 2 MORE WEEKS UNTIL WE ARE ROOMMATES!!! Literally I am thrilled at the thought of this! We are going to have the most fun EVER!!!

Dear Arizona, in 2 weeks... I will be with you! :D

Dear Mortensen family, 2 (and a half) more weeks until I'm with you! I have not wanted a Spring Break to happen more so than I want this one to happen! I can't wait to spend time with my favorite older sister (and the fetus inside of her) and my favorite nieces! We are going to have a blast! I especially can't wait until I watch American Idol with Angell and my mom, because that just sounds like the best time ever!

Dear Greys Anatomy, I just started watching you in the middle of the 3rd season last night, but I suspect we have a good next 2 weeks in front of us. Once I move out, I will no longer be able to watch you with Brittney's netflix, so lets make the next 2 weeks count!

Update!

I know its only been a little over a week, but I feel as though I haven't written in my blog in AGES!!! So here is what you missed on... GLEE (haha, Jk...)

As you may remember from a recent post, I got the amazing opportunity to go to the amazing city of Park (Park City) with my amazing family and my amazing BFF! (That stands for Best Friend Forever, in case you didn't already know!) Basically I could go into great detail about every thing we ate, like all the frozens waffles, the cups of hot chocolate, the wedding cake cupcakes, and the pizza... But I won't! I could go into detail about how amazing the weather was, how sunny and blue, and yet cold enough that the snow was perfect. We could take our goggles off on the lift to cool our selves down, and then by the end of the run we were all warm on the inside. I don't think I have ever had 2 days in a row with as perfect as weather. But I won't go into that detail either! I could also go into detail about the movie we saw in 3D on Saturday, actually I decided just now to go into that detail! Justin Bieber, Never Say Never, was the best movie OF ALL TIMES! Better than the Titanic even (ok, not really... but much better than Avatar!) Honestly, I heard of JB when I was in 12th grade before he was famous, and have been a loyal fan ever since. His movie was inspiring, funny, cute, hot (ok... he was hot!) and just plain good!

Here are some pictures...

So basically all day Sunday I was just complaining about having to come back to Rexburg, but it ended up not being that bad of a week at all! Monday was going to be lame, becasue it was the 14th of February and I'm not with anyone, but it ended up being just like any other day of me not being with any one, and I have done that for the past 19 1/2 years, so it really wasn't that bad! The rest of the week just flew by! Tuesday I watched Glee and thought it was super fantastic (they sang 2 JB songs!), and Wednesday I started to watch AI, but the power went out within the first 15 minutes. I was so sad. We ended up putting in a movie on my laptop and watched that!, I watched AI again on Thursday, as well as Bones. Basically its that time of year where I have a show on every night. Which actually makes me a good student, becasue I force myself to finish everything before I watch my shows. So I am litearlly gone from my apartment from 5:45 am to 5:15 pm (with the excpetions of a little lunch break or a quick change of clothes). Then when I get home I try to get everything done so I can watch my shows. Then when I miss some, like I did a lot this week, i catch up on Fridays. Today I woke up early so I watched The Office and Community, then I went to work, classes, and the gym. Then I came home and watched Castle, Glee, and Mr. Sunshine... I think I am a little addicted to TV and to Hulu. But hey, if I don't let myself take a chill from school and work, I won't have any fun right! Right... (like how I am trying to convince myself that my TV addiction is ok?!)

Anyway... its a 3 day weekend, and I have a HUGE to-do list. I am going to go to the Temple, work out, do my homework, send out a certain someones birthday package, clean my room, do my laundry, and prepare a RS lesson. Hopefully I can get this all done tomorrow and then I can just chill on Sunday and Monday!

Wow that was long, sorry if you read the whole thing and are completly bored. Anyway, thanks for reading my life story (for the week anyway!)

One Whole Year

I cannot believe that it has been a whole year since I graduated high school. Looking back at it it seems just a few weeks ago. So much has happened since then! One of my favorite things to do at the end of a year is go through and make a little diagram of the huge events that have happened in my life since then! So I thought I would do that again.

After I graduated, the next biggest thing that happened was Summer '09. I went to Ohio (twice) and California. I saw Wicked (which was the best show ever!), and the David + Demi tour. Then I turned 18! WOOHOO! Yay for being an adult! Shortly after that, I MOVED TO IDAHO!!!

While in Idaho, live moved super duper fast. Before I knew it, it was November. I went home for Thanksgiving. In a way it was like I never left, but at the same time, I knew that AZ was no longer my home, and that I was supposed to be in Idaho. Like right after that, I got hired at the health center, and then after that, I MET DAVID ARCHULETA! And then it was Christmas! And oh what a glorious Christmas that was! My favorite part was definalty the after Christmas shopping that I got to do with Keri and Natalee!

Right after that I was back for my off-track Winter semester. I worked a bunch, took classes at night, and snowboarded all the time! Basically it was one of the best 4 months of my life. I was kinda board during this semseter, but now that I'm busy again, I look back and wish I had done more with my life then sleep in and snowboard. (not that I regret either of them, there was just more I could have been doing.)

This semester included some fun memories, like meeting Brooke White, going to Park City with the family, and surprising Keri for her birthday! What a great time! After that semester I got to spend Spring Break at my grandparents house and I got to see my sister Angell and her little kiddos. I love them so much!

And then before I knew it, it was Spring Semester, and I'm half way done with my sophmore year at college. I am crazy busy, and working all the time, but life has NEVER been better. I can't remember a time where I have been happier in my life. Like honeslty, I'm not just saying that! My roommates make me happy, my classes are going well, I get along with EVERYONE at work, and life has just been amazing lately! So ya! Thats basically it!

1 year since High School and life is going good!!! :)

Self-Esteem Class

My roommates have recently told me that I need to take a self-esteem class, I told them that that would probably be the first class that I failed!

For some reason I have been way down on myself. Luckily my roommates are amazing and they have been there to pick me up! I don't know what I would do without them.

So I don't want you to think I am being crazy prideful in any way, but I thought for my self-esteem class I should take I should probably write down 10 things I am good at, so here you go!

1. Snowboarding!
2. School work/ getting good grades.
3. Talking with people, even talking in front of people.
4. Planning things, like class schedules or events.
5. Making cookies!
6. Keeping in touch with my family and friends.
7. Critiquing American Idol!
8. Curling my hair with my chi.
9. My job, answering phones, talking to strangers, telling people about healthcare.
10. Making power-points. I made 2 this week and both are AWESOME!!!

Its kinda a sad day when I got stuck after number 3, but low and behold, I found 10 things! Maybe I can pass this self-esteem class after all!!!

Opposite of Stressed

What is the opposite of stress... relaxed, calm, not busy... whatever it is, I am it!
Last semester at this time I remember freaking out about all the finals, the white glove clean check, and I had JUST started a job and was still training which is never fun. But now, I am totally relaxed. My snowboarding class is done, I only have 1 more class in my Natural Disaster, Public Speaking, and Humanities class. Basically I am going to ace every final because they are not hard. For public speaking I just have to give my final persuasive talk, which I am giving on Healthcare, and for Humanities I have a take home final that I can use my books/notes/any thing he has given us! I am going to do that tomorrow! And for Natural Disaster I just have a test in the testing center, but I have made a TON of note cards for that test and have been studying them for the past week, so I am not worried about that at all. Other than those classes, I still have 3 more Book of Mormon classes, but those aren't hard, and the final is just to come to class and write about how we enjoyed the class and something we learned. So ya, this is going to be an easy final week. I will be officially DONE on April 6th, and then I will clean/pack on the 7th, and on the 8th and 9th I will be working at the office all day while the other girls take their finals. Then on the 10th I will move all my stuff to Birch Plaza, and once its all stored there I will drive down to Utah to spend the week at my grandmas house! I can not believe how fast this semester has gone, and I am actually really sad. This has been a great off-track, and I am SO glad I stayed instead of went home like a lot of people i know, because I had such a great time here. Next semester I have a feeling is not going to be a stress-less semester, most likely it will be stressful! But I'm ready for it!!!

Oh and if you haven't already seen... I have made a separate blog about American Idol because thats how much of a dork I am!!! Feel free to read it and leave comments!!!

Best Part of the Week

So if you know me in the least bit, you know that i absolutly LOVE American Idol! I have been watching it every year since I was 10, and I get really obsessed with it. So obsessed in fact that I have cried when the person I wanted to win didn't win... But that sad story came to a happy ending last December!!! :D

Anyway, thats not what I wanted to blog about! I wanted to say how much I love this season! I finally got the chance to watch last Tuesday and Wednesdays episode tonight. I was so into it. My roommates probably thought I was crazy, just sitting here on my computer with my head phones in, clapping and dancing and shouting!!! And then watching the results show was fun too because I was totally good at guessing. I TOTALLY knew who was going to be in the bottom 3, and then the bottom 2, but I guessed the wrong person would leave. I was all for Paige leaving, but instead Lacey left, which makes me sad, because I like her! I pretty much love everybody, so it will be interesting to see how they do each week, because as of right now anyone could be my favorite favorite. I really like Tim Urban, even though he hasn't done so great every time, I think he is way cute, and I think that he has potential to do really well, also I love the little 16 years olds, Aaron and Katie, they are both way good!! I think that they guys are pretty much better than the girls this year, even though people have been saying the opposite, I don't really think so. I don't really like Crystal Bowersox. I think she is an amazing singer, but something about her personality rubbed me wrong the first few weeks and now I just can't stand her, and the werid thing is I don't really know what it was.... Anyway, I am ready for Paige to leave, but other than her I think it is kinda anyones game! And I love that the judges get to save someone again this year, like they saved Matt last year! That made me happy! So ya, I love this show, and I am sad that Lacey is leaving, and Crystal is not my favorite! :D

This year has been so weird with American Idol. I pretty much only watch the episode once, unlike last year where I would re-watch the peoples performances multiple times a week. And since I watch it online days after the real performance, I don't get to vote. Which is WAY SAD! And this year I don't really have someone I can talk to about it. I would ALWAYS have my family to talk with, and then the next day I would go to school and either spend all 0 hour chemistry talking about it, or the entire lunch time talking about it, or I would non-stop talk about it on the way to seminary, all with my bff Staci. I still text her about it occasionally, but its just not the same. Staci, if you're reading this, I MISS YOU!!! So ya, its just been weird watching it alone.... But its all good. American Idol is still my favorite past-time! haha!!!
