Christmas at the Cordners...

What is Christmas at the Cordners like you ask... Let me see if I can do this alphabetically...

Angry Birds
Brilliant
Colorful
Dang fun
Exciting
Fantastic
Great
Hyper
Incredible
J...

Ok, I'm stopping there because this is getting hard and I don't know my alphabet very well...

Christmas was so much fun! My entire family was together for this first time since 2008. Its kinda crazy when everyone is together, its gets pretty loud and crazy, but fun! Something weird you might have noticed about the list of Christmas at the Cordners is the first one... Angry Birds. Let me tell you a story.

Last Wednesday night, I am bored to tears at my house. My brains were going to explode if I watched one more TV show, so I hung around Keri all night. Then my dad got home and I hung around him. Then as he is about to go to bed, I ask him to stay up and talk to me. He casually asks if I have ever heard of Angry Birds, this game for iPods, and I was like, oh ya, I played that game through an entire semester of Accounting. So he downloads it for his iPad and starts to play it. 2 hours later he beats the game and we go to bed.

The next morning, I go into my parents room to my mom playing that game. Then Angells family comes and the two girls start to play on my dads iPad, and he shows them that game. Then on Christmas my dad shows it to Ty, who then gets it for his phone. Keri also got the app for her new iTouch. And before I knew it, I was surrounded by people playing Angry Birds! So weird!

But all in all, it has been a great Christmas break. Today in Anika's birthday, and we had a big day! It started playing in the backyard, and then we went to the park and fed the ducks, and then we played on the jungle gym, then Kyle and I got her a Cinderella balloon, and then we had dinner, cake, and presents! What a lucky 4 year old she is!

Shut the Front Door...

I have 2 weeks off... so how do I spend them you ask...

WHAT NOT TO WEAR MARATHON!!!

Here are some things I learned today watching almost the entire marathon...

1. When you go out, put clothes on. I want to apologize to all the people at Walmart who have ever seen me in my pajamas.

2. 88% of women wear the wrong bra size... I think mine is good... uuuhhhh....

3. All women should use some hair coloring just to make their skin color pop. I really liked when I put highlights in my hair. Too bad I can't afford to keep up with it. (Also want to apologize to everyone who has to see me with my horrible roots until my highlights grow out!)

4. Girls that are a little overweight are afraid of shopping because they are afraid of when something won't fit. But whats the worst thing that will happen... um, it won't fit!!!

5. When girls gain weight, they keep their skinny clothes in hopes that they will one day fit into it again, but whats worse than looking in your closet everyday seeing clothes you don't fit into!

6. Make up really can boost confidence! I sure do need a makeover!

7. There is a science to finding clothes that fit curvy girls! I need to learn that science... do you think they offer that class at BYUI?

8. Thin eyebrows aren't always the best eyebrows, sometimes a thick one (as long as it is tamed well) can look even better!

9. Never fight with Stacey and Clinton... because they are always right!

And last but not least...

10. Toddlers and Tiaras looks like the funniest show ever! I wish it started sooner so I could watch it during my break. I'm gonna be really sad once real life starts again and I can't spend hours watching TLC a day. :(

Best Day Ever!

Friday, December 17th, was one of the best day's I have ever had. Lets forget the little fit I threw in the middle of the day when I had to pack up my apartment and car, but lets focus on the beginning and end.

Ever since I got to BYU-Idaho there has been construction all over campus. Well as of now, it is finally OVER!!! The BYU Idaho Center, (BYUIC, pronounced Buick) is finally done! And to top it all off, President Eyring came to dedicate it. This building is incredible. It looks just like the conference center on the inside. I had no idea something of this magnitude and beauty could fit inside little Rexburg. Everything about this building is fantastic. Elder Bednar and Elder Nelson gave a talk, and then President Eyring spoke and then he dedicated it! When these men walked into the room, everyone stood and it was silent, and what a powerful feeling and spirit filled the room.

I got to have that same exact experience later that night, but this time in Salt Lake City in the conference center there when President Monson and President Uchtdorf walked in. You may ask, "Tara... whatever were you doing at the conference center?" Well I will tell you, I was listening to the most amazing voice of all time. No I am not talking about Finn Hudson, I am talking about David Archuleta, singing with the astonishing Mormon Tabernacle Choir! My good friend Terra scored 4 tickets and she gave me 2 of them. So Gaby and I headed down to SLC after we were done in Rexburg!

The new building was astonishing, the spirit I felt was amazing, and music I heard was unforgettable. And now to top it all off, I am home! Oh how wonderful Gilbert is! I am here for a whole 2 weeks! I love being here with my family! Oh, speaking of them... you should all check out Keri's blog! I made her make it... She doesn't like it now, but one day she will, trust me! haha!!! You're welcome Keri!!!

Christmas in the 205

If you didn't know this about me... I LOVE MY ROOMMATES! We are a family! And this is the last weekend all of us could be together. So Aubrey told me she wanted to do something crazy and fun! So this is what we did!

At 12:30 - Went to see Home Alone in the theater!
Then at 5:30- We went to Wingers and all got the same burger! haha
Then we went looking at Christmas lights
Then we came back to the apartment and opened each others Christmas Presents
Then we made peppermint bark, poppy seed cake, hot apple cider, and sugar cookies
Then we went on a rescue mission for our flamingo that has been stolen for almost 2 months now!
Then we watched While You Were Sleeping!

It was so much fun! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!

I'm going to miss them...

(Jessica got me Jacob for Christmas!)

So Close!

I am so close to the end of the semester... and I just have NO motivation for finishing! Once I got back from Thanksgiving I have had the hardest time getting back in the swing of things. I was supposed to be working right now, but I had a group project that I thought would take a while, so I asked my friend to cover an hour for me. But the group project is over, and I'm stuck in the library. I should be working on different homework assignments, but since I didn't think I would have this time I didn't bring my other books. And because it is blizzarding outside, I don't really want to go home to get them. So I'm just hanging in the library until my next class starts. I wish I had something productive to do with all this time. I am done for my assignments for today and most of tomorrow. Mostly all I have left is studying for my finals and a group project! I just want to be done already! Then I can go back to AZ and enjoy Christmas! Yay!!!

Best Break Ever!

I have absolutely loved everything about this week! Spending time with my family, enjoying the 60 degree weather, eating food I didn't pay for! Everything has been so wonderful!

On Saturday my parents took my to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the ASU Gammage theater, and it was so much fun!

On Sunday I got really sick at church and almost threw up during Sacrament meeting, so I came home early which was super depressing because I was really looking forward to going to Vintage Ranch Ward and seeing all my old friend.

Monday I went to ASU with Kyle and went to his Kinesology class and then went to Institute. I was so excited because I got to see my old seminary teacher Sister Brinkerhoff teach again! Then Kyle and I went out to lunch and then played games with my mom.

Tuesday my mom and I went to the movies, and then Keri and I went to the temple. Then we went to Bahama Bucks!

Wednesday I hung out at Kyle's apartment! We also went to Bahama Bucks! I love that place! Then I went to the store with my Dad and we picked out a bunch of new lights to put on our house to change up the lighting display a little bit. Then my BFF Amy came over and we went to Sonic and then went to our other friend Janessa's house to watch her open her mission call! She is going to Warsaw Poland!

Then Thursday my dad and I put the lights on the house (and missed the entire Macys Day Parade... I'm not bitter though!) Then my cousins came over and we had the best day ever! We ate dinner from 2 to 3, talked from 3 to about 4, went to see Unstoppable at like 4:30, then we came home, ate some pie, and played games!

Friday was really fun because I went shopping with Keri and completely finished my Christmas shopping. Then Friday night, all of my high school best friends came over and we talked forever! I don't know how I would have survived 8th grade and all of High School without the help of my best friends Amy, Alix, Morgan and Staci! Oh how I love them!!!

Today was supposed to be it. I was going to hop on a flight and get into Salt Lake about right now, and then drive to Rexburg. But I guess there is a big snow storm that my parents didn't want me flying home in, so instead I will be coming back first thing Monday morning. And I mean 1st thing, my flight is at 6am. So I have to leave at about 4:30 am... YIKES! Thankfully I got someone to teach my relief society lesson tomorrow, and I got people to cover all my hours at work on Monday. So I just have to make it back for my classes! And if I miss those, I'm not going to be too heartbroken!

I LOVE THANKSGIVING!!!

Home

"And I'm surrounded by, a million people I, still feel alone, let me go home, Oh I miss you you know!

Oh how Michael Buble knows exactly how I feel. I have been so homesick since, well last time I got to go home! There is nothing better than being in your hometown with your family. So far since I have been home, I have watched all my favorite shows, including Sonny with a Chance, JONAS LA, and Hannah Montana; I have been to In-n-Out and Bahama Bucks, I have seen my best friends in the whole world, Keri and Staci, and I have gone on a long car ride with my dad! These are like my favorite things to do! Oh and my favorite favorite part of being home, I was outside today, in my short sleeve T-Shirt and flip flops! So wonderful!

Tonight I get to go to the Gammage to see a play with my parents, tomorrow I get to go to Vintage Ranch ward, and Monday I get to clean the house! (I'm trying to act excited if you couldn't tell!) Thursday will come and I get to spend a lot of time with my extended family eating Turkey and pie! Friday will come and I will sneak off to the store to buy presents, and then I will hurry home and put lights on the house with my dad!

"It will all be alright, I'll be home tonight, I'm coming back home!"

Best Sight Ever!

My school uses a website called BrainHoney, and when teachers post assignments online, it appears on my main page, and I have a whole long list of assignments due in a week... well, I don't have school next week, which means...
I DON'T HAVE ANY ASSIGNMENTS!!!

So... see ya next week school! :D

Bubble Trouble

So today was a pretty busy Sunday afternoon. We had church at 12, dinner at 4, tithing settlement at 5:15, and a ward social at 6:00. Right after church I came home and decided to help out Gaby. She was cooking dinner today, so I thought I would clean up the kitchen a bit so that she could cook in it. Well being the wonderful roommate that I am... (said with sarcasm), I cleaned off the table and loaded the dishwasher. Then when I looked for the cute little packets of soap to load the dishwasher, I saw that we were all out. I guess its been a while since I loaded the dishwasher, because I could have sworn we had a big bag still left. So looking under the very crowded cupboard, I saw some dish soap and put it in. I thought to myself that this was a little bit off, because usually the soap is a solid, and not a liquid, but it seemed to be all we had. So in it went, and off to my room I went to call my mom. About ten minutes later I heard my name from the kitchen. I got to the kitchen to see this...

"Oh crap, I gotta go!" I said to my mom as I hung up and grabbed some more towels. We turned off the dishwasher and opened it up. There were bubbles EVERYWHERE!!! I wasn't mad, I thought it was really funny! I just laughed as I started wiping up the bubbles on the ground. Then my roommate called her brother who did this same thing not too long ago. He said to put downy laundry detergent in the machine and to run it, so it will get all of my soap out. So we took all the dishes and ran it like that. I was just laughing the whole time. It makes for a really good story! And now I know what soap to use, and which soap you don't use! hahaha...

Battleship!

Rememeber in the spring when I posted about how much I love playing Softball! Well I have found something else to take its place while the field is covered in snow. Battleship!

Imagine... an indoor swimming pool, 8 to 10 canoes in the pool with 3 to 4 people in each canoe flinging water at the other canoes. Its basically the coolest thing EVER! I heard about this at the beginning of the semester, so I went to the meeting for the captains, and I made a team. My team has my roommate Gaby Judd, our FHE brother Zac, and the EQP, Jimmy! And basically... WE DOMINATE! There are three rounds of 15 minutes each. Whoever is still standing after the 15 minutes gets 3 points. If you get out in the first 5 minutes you don't get a point, 5 to 10 you get 1 point, and then 10 t0 15 2 points. I think thats how they do it. Anyway, we lasted the entire first 2 rounds, and got out towards the end of the 3rd round, becasue one team totally cheated and pulled our canoe down... what the heck people! We ended up getting 2nd place, 1 point behind the cheating team! haha

Gaby and I sit at the end of the canoe and we hold big sleds as shields. Zac and Jimmy are in the middle of the canoe with little garabge pails that they fill up with water and chuck at the other canoes. Eventually the other canoes will get off balance and tip over, or they will just get so full of water that they will sink. Basically it is the funnest thing ever! We have played two games already, and only have a couple more weeks of it.

Best part of the whole night, after we got sunk during the 3rd round, we were pulling our canoe up from the bottom of the pool and decided to pull a Pirates of the Caribean and get under the canoe and talk to each other, and OH MY GOSH, it was the funnest thing ever! Everything echoed like crazy, and we were laughing so so so hard. I wanted to talk, but I couldn't stop laughing! So we just stood there in the pool under our canoe laughing for like 5 minutes, and finally Zac started pounding on the outside, so we got out and pulled our canoe out of the pool.

After the game was over, Gaby and I got out of our wet clothes and bundled up to go outside in the below freezing, I think it was like 23* or something, and then we went and got ice cream! haha, thats how awesome we are!!! So ya, I love Battleship!

Its The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Well it happened... it is winter time. And not like according to the calender Winter, because that is still a while away. I'm talking about big coat wearing, snow falling, nose freezing, hot chocolate drinking, crying when you walk outside... winter! Today was the first snow fall of the season. So to celebrate, I went and got myself a hot chocolate from the Crossroads! Perfect!
Here are things I am looking forward to this season...

Drinking more hot chocolate, from the crossroads and from Cocoa Bean!

Going sledding, ice skating, having snowball fights, and SNOWBOARDING!!!

Taking pictures with my roommates in the snow!

Seeing the Temple with the grounds as white as the building!

Watching Elf, a Christmas Story, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and How to Train Your Dragon (I know its not Christmas-y, I just really love that one!)

Now for all of you that think I am a little too optimistic, here are some things I'm not looking forward to.

The day that it is too cold to even snow...

The feeling you get when you walk outside and your nose hairs turn to ice (sorry if thats too descriptive for you, it really happens though.)

The snow that I will have to scrap off my car every time I get into it, and then driving in that snow!

And the slippery ice that makes me slip and fall, (I remember thinking, Hey! I am predominately slipping, and then you tripped, ya, we don't do that!) hahahahahahaha

Anyway, I am excited and scared for the snow to be here for real!

Hurry

–verb (used without object)
1. to move, proceed, or act with haste
–verb (used with object)
2. to drive, carry, or cause to move or perform with speed.
3. to hasten; urge forward
4. to impel or perform with undue haste: to hurry someone into a decision.
–noun
5. a state of urgency or eagerness..
6. hurried movement or action; haste.

—Synonyms
rush, hasten, accelerate, quicken; expedite, hustle.

Think about the things you hurry to. I hurry in the morning to be ready on time for work. I hurry to finish all my assignments before they are done. I hurry to the kitchen when I haven't eaten anything all day. I hurry to my car at the end of the day to get home! I hurry my studies so I can play with my friends...

Today as I left the temple, the temple worker told me to "Hurry Back!" Hurry back, I thought... I don't think I have ever thought about hurrying to the temple in the way I hurry to other things. And why not? Being in the temple is my favorite part of... life! haha. But honestly, I don't know why when I am not in the temple I think, I don't have to go today, I will go next week... Why do I put it off?! I really need to HURRY to the temple, because once I am there, all the other things I am stressed about, all the things that consume my busy life, they all melt away as I focus on the what really matters. As I was there today, I thought about my family, my current and future one, I thought about the scriptures, and how much I love studying them each day, I thought about the kind of person I want to be, and the person I am striving to be, and the person that is my number one example, my savior Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for a temple that is so close to me, that I can attend as often as I can! I'm so grateful for the Gilbert temple that is going to have a groundbreaking soon, and I look forward to one day going there with my best friend! I can't wait!

The point of this blog post was not really to give you the definition of what it means to hurry. But mostly for me to express how much I can't wait to hurry to the temple for the rest of my life!

Friday, October 22

You know you're busy when....

You know you're busy when....

You wake up, get ready, go on campus, and its dark.
You stay on campus all day and when you leave, its dark again.

When you get to school, the Presidents car isn't there yet, and when you leave, his car has already left. Dang it!

Your meals start consisting of a bowl of cereal for breakfast, a slim fast shake for lunch, and a piece of bread with peanut butter on it for dinner.

You no longer have time to just sit down and enjoy a meal, everything has to be multi-tasked with something else. Like eating lunch while you take a quiz or eating dinner while walking to FHE.

You start to feel guilty just for watching a 30 minute episode of The Office on Thursday night because you should be doing something better with your time.

You HAVE to do homework or study or do something else while you watch a movie (How to Train Your Dragon is the best movie to do Statics Homework too! :D)

You want to ask a guy to hang out with you, but then realize you have no time to hang out anyway! :(

You have homework due in an hour and you still haven't started it.

On Saturday, instead of enjoying a day off, you prepare a treat for a ward activity, a talk for sacrament meeting, and a lesson for Relief Society, both to be given on the same Sunday!

Yes, all these things have happened to me, pretty much in the last two weeks too! This is the way I stay sane when I am as busy as I have been this semester....

President Uchtorf gave the best talk, at least for me, this last conference.
Of Things That Matter Most

He said, "Therefore, it is good advice to slow down a little, steady the course, and focus on the essentials when experiencing adverse conditions..... May I suggest that you reduce the rush and take a little extra time to get to know yourself better. Walk in nature, watch a sunrise, enjoy God’s creations, ponder the truths of the restored gospel, and find out what they mean for you personally."

My new thing is to take at least an hour each day just to enjoy living! These hours have consisted of going out to ice cream in the evening with my roommate and then going on a walk, taking the hour in between my classes to go to the Gardens, lie down in the grass, and talk on the phone to family or friends, play sports (softball is over again, but Battleship starts next week, there will be a post on that soon!), and just spending time not stressing or doing school work! It has been amazing how happier I have been since I have started this little experiment. I literally had days a few weeks ago where I woke up at 6, went from work, to class, to the library, to another class, back to work, to another class, home for 10 minutes, to FHE, and then went to my room to study until 11 when I went to bed, and then woke up the next morning and did the SAME thing!!! I was so stressed and not having any fun at all! Even though I did have a minor melt down yesterday, my roommates helped me to calm down, enjoy life, and to have fun! I am so thankful to have amazing people in my life to help me!

I love that I didn't schedule anything on Fridays, because today is my catch up day, I have a huge to do list that I didn't quite get to during the week, so I'm gonna go get started on that, and when I am done, my roommates and I are going to go shopping in Idaho Falls! yay!!!

Saturday, October 9

Road Trip!

So growing up, road trips were never my favorite... that might have to do with the fact that they were like 5 days long and our entire family was stuck in the mini van and my brothers bugged me... but now, road trips are the best!

We have been planning a road trip to Yellowstone since I went last semester with my cousins! We finally agreed on a weekend to go, and it ended up being perfect. The weather was amazing, 4 out of 5 of my roommies were able to come, and it was just a perfect day!

Fun things we did:

Listened to Brian Regan- and then tried to apply his jokes throughout the day, we got about 5 real life applications from Brian Regan! haha

Named all the animals in the park, we had Phrefrey (the lone ranger), Bob and Betsy, Charles, Burt the fisherman bison, Belinda and Robert, Patrick, The Wilsons, The Swansons, Bernard, Parker, Gurtruide, The Westons, Thadeus and Ilene, Timothy (the 2nd lone ranger), Hoot, Daisy and Duke, and Daphne!
(Most of these were bison, some were couples, some were herds, and some were Elk.)

We saw a bear and her 2 baby cubs, they didn't get names though because we were too excited to see a bear!

We saw Old Faithful, and then listened to the song Faithfully by Journey.

We had a picnic, I had a ham and cheese sandwich, Fritos, and sweedish fish.

We went shopping for souvenirs, I got a Christmas ornament.

We sang to the entire Camp Rock 2 CD and totally rocked out!

We saw tons of hot springs and freaked out because of the horrible spell...

We took goofy pictures!

And we lol-ed, a lot!!!!

I love Yellowstone!!!

I fail

Ok, so I don't really fail, in fact I have only ever failed 1 thing in my life, and it was an accounting test. But in the end I got a B- in the class, and a GPA of 3.7 for that semester, so I didn't consider it a failure.

But last night, I went to a straw maze with my roommates and FHE brothers, and let me tell ya, nothing more humbling than being stuck in a maze for 40 minutes and walking out of the entrance. The worst part was the fact that the entire rest of my family was standing outside waiting for us, and they had finished a long time ago. One of my brothers actually went through it twice. :( Dang it straw maze...

But really, that straw maze was crazy fun, and it was just a small glimpse of the fun-ness I have had this semester. I have so many fun adventures to blog about, and about 0 time to do it. I had a class cancelled today which is the only real reason I even have time to write this blog.

Some fun adventures lately:
Robyn's 21st Birthday!!! I love (root) beer, I love margaritas (virgin of course), I love beer pong, I love loud music, I love pizza, I love laughing so hard I have to pee, I love my roommates, I love Letters to Juliet, I love Killers (the movie, not actual people that kill others), and I love ice cream cakes!

Going home!!! I love AZ, I love Tucson (but mostly I love Amy Webb and Staci Beckham), I love my family, I love the comfy bed in my parents guest bedroom, I love Prince of Persia, I love Costco, I love In-n-Out, I love traveling, I love Ulta (even if my makeup wasn't there...) And I love the welcome I get in the 205 when I am gone for more than a day!

Road Trip to Panda Express!!!
I love Christine, I love talking with my roommates, I love listening to fun music, I love driving, I love Beef and Brocolli, and I love Idaho Falls!

Conference Weekend!!! I love this church, I love the leaders of this church, I love that my roommates love this church, I love staying in pajamas for an entire weekend straight, once again I love Prince of Persia (HOT PERSIAN BABIES!) and I love eating!!!

And now for the best thing to happen to me all semester.... (drum roll...)
The Other Side of Down is finally out! Oh David, how I have waited for this CD to come! It totally makes me smile! I have already listened to it probably about 4 times since I got it at 1:00 today! I wouldn't have listened so much, but because I did have a class get cancelled, I have had to occupy my extra time with something, right! Oh how I love him!!!

So ya, I love this semester, also I love pictures, but I have lost my camera. So if anyone is in the Rexburg area and wants to come tear up my apartment with me to find the camera, it would be much appreciated! Then I could take fun pictures of yellowstone (which I am going to this weekend) and put them online for all to enjoy!

Hopefully I won't fail at writing in my blog and I will keep you updated more often!

Crazy Adventures!

So last week I finished up the summer session! Monday all my roommates got back into Rexburg and it was like a whole week party! Monday night we planned to hang out with our friends Jacob and Blake, who thought it would be fun to go to the Caves and play hide and seek. I had plans with some friends of mine from the summer, but I really did want to go with my roommates... So I followed Blake's car as we drove and drove and drove. What he said would be a quick half hour drive turned into a lot longer. We drove for 20 or so minutes on 2nd East, past the Sand Dunes, and then on this dirt road for probably and hour. Blake would stop his car and say, so I think we were supposed to turn right at that last little place, so we would turn our cars around and drive for another 20 minutes when he would stop and say, I think we were right to begin with... When he finally said he knew where he was going, I saw something leaking from his car. I pull mine over as we call his cell, and he stops his car. It was his oil. He had his a rock with his car and leaked a ton of his oil... So there we are, NOT at the caves, on a random dirt road, with poor cell phone reception, and Blakes bad car. Luckily he did get a hold of his dad who lives in Idaho Falls. So his dad drove all the way out there to tow back his car. I put the back seats in my car up and we camped out in the back of Christine. We drove Blake to the beginning of the dirt road so when his dad got there he could show his dad where his car was. So we sat in Christine on the side of the road, and almost every car pulled over to see if we were okay, this one old guy saw Blake in the back with all of us, asked if we were okay, and told Blake to behave himself! hahaha

So when Blake's dad finally did get there, the rest of us girls headed off to Wendys!

Tuesday was a fun day as well. Besides the painful day at work I had, I got to spend time just talking and catching up some more with my roommates. Jessica's brother is in his first semester so her parents paid for us to get pizza and eat it with him and his roommates. So that was fun!

Wednesday was the best! I had work in the morning and then got off work and hung out with the girls. Then I went and bought Camp Rock 2, and we watched it! Then there was a dance last night that was crazy fun!!! Then I got back from the dance and realized, oh snap, I have school tomorrow... I should figure out where my classes are... haha

Today was the first day, and it is gloomy and rainy and sad. Maybe it wouldn't have been so sad if I hadn't stayed up late and got little sleep, oh well. I was up by 6:30, at work from 7:30-11:15, class from 11:30-1:00, then I went home for 2 hours, and then dance class at 3:15-4:15, and now I am just sitting in the Ricks waiting for Stats to start. Usually I would spend this time doing homework, but I really don't have anything to do since I have only been to 2 classes and one of them was dance! So ya!

Sorry this was crazy long, I just felt the need to fill everybody in with my fun exciting week! Now the party ends and the school work begins... oh joy!

New Hobbies!

So the very first day of break I was complaining to my friend about how I am going to be bored a lot of the break, and he told me I needed to get some hobbies! What kind of hobbies could I pick up to keep me entertained for the next little bit! I mean I am pretty busy during the day, I wake up around 8, get ready, do some homework, go to class, go to work, and then I'm home by 5. So 8-5 I'm busy, but other than that I don't have a ton going on.

One of my new hobbies started up again the other day when I had to do my laundry. I was going to watch TV and eat ice cream while I waited for my laundry to be done, but instead I sat down at the piano in the lounge and started to play. I forgot how much I like playing! I started with the song Crush. I learned it senior year, you see my dreams were that one day I would be randomly in LA, sit down at a piano and start playing that song. Then David would turn the corner and see me, kind of like a Camp Rock moment when Shane hears Mitchy play. Then David would fall in love with me and the two of us would be married that next day...kind of like in Enchanted, Oh Giselle, we shall be married in the morning!!! Haha, anyway so I played that song again, and then I started playing some hymns that I once learned and tried to teach myself new ones!

My other new hobby is... brace yourself... reading books!!! I know that might sound crazy coming from me... but its the truth! A while back I got Davids book (this blog sure does seem to be about him a lot huh) and I started reading it! I just got it so that he can sign it and I can look at pictures. But during the break I decided to go for it! Then I have been noticing a ton of people talking about the Hunger Games so yesterday at work I googled it, and on google books it comes up! Except they take out random pages. So I got hooked on it while I read the first couple of pages at the office, and I went to WalMart right after that to buy the book. Last night I read it until about 1:00, and then I woke up this morning and read it until about... an hour ago! haha. I literally read it for 10 hours! And I finished it! And now I am going crazy because I can't find the 2nd book anywhere in Rexburg. Part of me wants to drive to IF tonight to buy the 2nd book... but I don't think I will!

In Bride Wars, the blond girl never cries, and than at the end she is like crying a lot. And she says, "Its like a whole new me!" That's what I feel like right now! All my new hobbies are like a whole new me! haha, well not really I guess. I have always known how to play the piano and I have read books before... so anyway, that's what I have been up to! :D

Clean Christine

The first thing my mom did when she got her new Volvo was road trip us all the way to the grand canyon. When my dad got his new BMW, we went on multiple road trips, up in the superstition mountains, down to Bisbee, and then he went (WITHOUT ME) to Yellowstone! Well now it was my turn! Christine was begging me to take her somewhere outside the little Rexburg area. And since I love her so much, I agreed! It was supposed to be a big roommate trip, but 2 of my roommies backed down, so we had room in my car for more people. So I invited my friend Thomas to tag along. Then my other two roommates backed down. So it ended up just being me and Thomas and Christine! We went to Jackson Hole Wyoming, and it was such a fun trip!

BIGFOOT!!! AAAHHHHHH............

It was such a gorgeous drive. I should have taken more pictures of the trip but my battery was pretty close to dying on account of leaving it in the living room and having my roommates take multiple pictures of themselves! haha

Anyway, after we got home, Christine was pretty gross looking. She probably, no joke, had 50+ bugs die on her. Did I care about the bugs, NO! I cared about her poor windshield. Also we broke my rule of no eating in the car. I was getting pretty hungry on our way into the town, so we ate some crackers, and some Sour Patch Kids. Both leaving lots of crummys on the ground. :( I wanted to give it a carwash the second I got home, but it was pretty cloudy. The next two mornings I have woken up to tons of water spots all over her. Dang it rain! But today was a really pretty and clear day, so I decided after FHE to give her a car wash! I went to this place on the outskirts of town, I mean, it was like past wal*mart... crazy huh! But anyway, it was all very exciting. My roommate Heather and I had a blast! I got the deluxe wash, which was only the 2nd out of 4, I didn't think Christine was dirty enough for the $7.00 one....

After that fun adventure, we went to the little vacuum machine, put in a dollar, and vacuumed out all the crummys. I did my side and then I handed it to Heather and she did her side! Right after that we went to Wal*mart and I bought some wipes, it was in a package of two, and it was like, wipes for the window, and wipes for the dash! I'm pretty sure I am spoiling her, but Christine has been nothing but good to me! She deserves it!

Oh and guess what else, she has just gone over 500 miles.... they grow up so fast!!!

*BTW, if you didn't already know, Christine is the name of my car!!!

Do you remember...

Do you remember? Do you remember? Do you remember... All of the times we had....

That's like one of my favorite songs. One time it came on in my car right as we were pulling into the parking lot, and me and my roommates stayed in the car and sang it until it was done.... haha, do you remember the time we sang do you remember in my car! :D That was a good time!

Want to hear of another good time I was thinking about recently. It was Easter and my family was pretty much grown up, but Keri and I still wanted to paint Easter eggs. I think I was a junior in high school. My mom had bought the stuff and told us that she boiled some eggs for us earlier that day. So that night Keri and I color the eggs! So on Easter, we didn't hide them, but we were going to eat them... so Keri pulls out one of the eggs we colored and goes to open it like you do with a hard-boiled egg, and it turns out we colored regular eggs, and the boiled eggs were in a different container! hahaha

How about when I was in high school... and I had watched a scary show, I think it was Supernatural, at my friend Alix's house, and we were freaked out. And then I go home, and before I went to tell my mom that I was home I went to the bathroom or somewhere... and so I am going down the hallway to my parents room and their door is cracked. When I reach for the door, I see my moms hand grab the door and I screamed! I had just watched a super scary show and here is someones hand appearing out of no where... SO SCARY!!!

My mom may not like me sharing this one, but last week when her and my dad were here for my birthday, we were playing Settlers a lot, (half of which I won!) and during one of the games my mom asked me if I ever go cow tipping! She says she felt bad for the cows because they can't get back up, they are stuck on their noses. I explained to my mom that you don't literally TIP the cow on its face, you push it over on its side... According to her that is just cow pushing over!!! I am pretty sure I have never laughed harder in my entire life!!!!

Or even just yesterday, I was at cold stone with my roommate and I got a call from Ty! He asked what the area code was for where I am living... So I say, 83440... and he says... alright, that's the zip code, now I need the area code... and I start dying laughing in the middle of cold stone. They guy was just about to take my order when I am standing there laughing uncontrollably. Ty was laughing too which just made me laugh harder. Eventually I was able to get the words out and I could say, 208... but it was really hard!

awww memories!!!

Am I a grown-up already?

So if turning 18 turns you into an adult, what does being 19 make you? And when do you start being a grown-up? I definably DO NOT feel grown-up! Sure I live away from my parents, I take classes and work all day, I bought myself a car... these are grown-up things I guess, but I do not feel grown. I still love tons of childish things...

I love all the teen-celebrities out there. My favorites include David Archuleta, Demi Lovato, the Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Zac Efron, and more.

I love taking naps! (this may be a bad example though, I feel like grown-ups need naps more than children do)

I love doodling, you think someone with a GPA like mine wouldn't sit in class and draw stars, spirals and hearts all over her paper, but I do!

I love going on the swings, the park across the street has swings, and its my favorite just walking over there and swinging.

I love meeting, flirting, and hanging out with boys... one day I will have to choose just one and be with him forever (scary)!

I love calling NOSE GOES when someone needs something done!

I love staying in my pajamas on those days when I don't have to be anywhere or really do anything...

The reason I was thinking about this today is because everything around me makes me feel like I should be an adult. I am wearing my new nice slacks with a nice blouse and a lab coat at work. Children do not typically wear that kind of outfit, nor do they go to work. The eye doctor called me today and said my new contacts were in. Children do not typically make their own eye-appointments and order new contacts. I have to run adult-errands today, like going to the grocery store and the bank. Children do not run these errands alone... Maybe I am doing grown-up like things, but I am so so so not ready to be a grown-up....

Ghosts of Birthdays Past

If you know me, (which I hope you do since you are reading my blog, if not you're a creeper and maybe should stop reading this) then you might know that I love my birthday! Its the real deal for me! I'm getting so excited for tomorrow! The Big 1-9! I CANT WAIT!!! haha, In all honesty, this isn't that big of a birthday, but there is kind of a negative connotation when you tell people up here that you're only 18! I can see where it comes from because some 18 year old college students can act silly, me included, but still, being 19 just sounds so much better! But I did like that I could say, ya I'm a junior, oh and I'm 18... That was kinda fun for a while!

Anyway, I was thinking about my past few birthdays, and wanted to reminisce on them...

15th- It was a Saturday, and there was a Stake Dance that night! My moms present to me was some cash and a trip to the mall! I loved it, I got a lot of cute new clothes and got all ready for the dance that night! And then my friends told the DJ it was my Birthday and they sang to me! Ahhh.... fun times!

16th- I had gotten my cast off 2 days before my birthday. My parents told me that was my birthday present! NO MORE CAST!!! Not quite the present I wanted, but I liked not having the cast. It was a Sunday on my birthday and when I got home from church, my best friend Amy had snuck into my house and decorated my room. Like hard core decorations. Pink streamers and more pink balloons than I have ever seen! What a sweetheart she is! Then later that day my parents pulled me aside and said, hey, we need to talk... I thought I was getting in trouble on my birthday, instead they asked me if I was interested in a trip to Europe for the next summer! UM, HECK YES!!!
Who would turn that down?!?! The next day I got 16 balloons from my friends at school, and my dad picked me up and took me to the DMV to get my license! Good times!

17th- My senior year had JUST started, and I needed a job, badly! What a hard first few weeks of school it was looking for a job. I had an interview on my birthday, so lame! So since I was an awesome senior and had a half day at school, I had a lunch party for my friends and me. It was Hannah Montana themed! And no, I wasn't and am still not ashamed of that! It was awesome. We had pizza and cake, and then I opened presents from my friends! I miss them a ton! After the party I scurried off to the interview, which I bombed, and then came home and ate some more cake! :D

18th- This probably SHOULD be the most exciting, but it was just kind of another day. My parents were both out of town, and Amy was gone somewhere too... I went to work where I wore a princess crown all day, and then my boss paid for me to go out to lunch with all my coworkers. We went to Barros, which I just put together is what pizza I ate on my 17th. Then when I got off work, Keri was at home as cute as ever. She had drawn me a picture of all the fun things I can do now that I am 18! I loved it. Then I called my friends Morgan and Staci, and us with Keri went to dinner at the yummy Italian place behind my subdivision.

And for the future...
19th- AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! I am going to go to my class in the morning, take a mid-term (blah) and then go to IF to pick up my parents at the airport. Then we are going straight to the Honda dealership where I will buy myself the best birthday present ever! A CAR!!! I can't wait, I think I am going to name it Clive... :D Then my parents and I are going to go to The Olive Garden, and then play Settlers of Catan, and then my friend with a movie projector is going to show Sherlock Holmes on the side of a building and we are all getting together to watch it! Then on Saturday, Party at the Dunes!!! :D

So ya, I love my birthdays! Thanks mom for giving me a birthday! LOVE YA!!!

Just Waiting...

I don't know if anyone else has ever thought about this, but it has been on my mind a lot lately. I feel like I spend my entire life waiting. It seems like there is always something that is going to be happening that I am waiting for.

For example today:
Went to work, and spent the day waiting to be done with work.
Sent a text message to someone, and waited to get a respond.
Went to the kitchen to make my lunch, and waited for the microwave to beep.
Then I get off work, and now I am waiting for my friend to get off work...
I'm sure when I get to Red Robin tonight I will be sitting there waiting for my food to come.

In the long run...
I am waiting for someone to get back into town!
I am waiting for my parents to come see me!
I am waiting for my birthday!
I am waiting to get my new car!
I am pretty much always waiting for a text message.
I am waiting for my roommies to return back to me in the fall.
I am waiting to get my scholarship money!
I am waiting for the day I can go home again (probably Thanksgiving and then Christmas)
I am waiting for the best vacation ever! PARK CITY! (even if I can only go 1 day)

In the longer run...
I am waiting to be done with school so I can start working!
I am waiting to see if Graduate school really is for me.
I am waiting to find the special someone who will take me through the temple so we can be married for time and all eternity.
I am waiting to be a cute little house wife.
I am waiting to go on vacations with my siblings and their spouses to Disneyland (which my sister promised we would do since I missed the last Disneyland trip)
I am waiting for the day that I will leave my kids with my husband and meet my sister at Paradise Bakery Cafe like we have talked about so many times!
I am waiting the day that I will return to Europe, even if that day doesn't exist, I am still waiting for it!

point is, I feel like I am always just waiting... Maybe if I spent more time in the moment than looking forward to future events, life wouldn't feel so long!!!

Summer

So it may seem like my life is really lame since I have not updated my blog in a while, but its actually quite the opposite! I have had the best summer break ever! (If you can call what I am doing a break!) I have class everyday from 10:00-11:40, and then I work from 12:00-5:00, except on Fridays when I work from 8:00-5:00. Then after work I go home and hang with my awesome new roommates whom I love!

Some big events that have happened since school got out:
Keri came and visited with me!
Moved into my new apartment
Got my grades back and only got 1 B, and was awarded a full ride scholorship!
Went to FHE and made some new friends ;)
Saw the movies Inception (again), Eclipse (again), and Charlie St. Cloud in theaters.
Road tripped down to Utah with Keri
Road tripped back up to Rexburg
And have watched Space Jam, Iron Man, the beginning of X-Men, Forever Strong, and When In Rome (but I didn't really watch it, I was distracted)

I love love love my new roommates, and I love the laid-back chill atmosphere that comes in Rexburg during the summer. I love that I get to stay up late and sleep in, and I love that I have made so many new friends! I haven't been the best at bringing my camera places cuz I never quite unpacked everything in my new apartment since I am just moving back in a month... but I will try to take some pics of the summer!

I'm a Junior!

Well I have officially taken my last final for the semester, which means I have completed 60 credits, which means I am a junior in college!!! Not too much longer and I will be done! :D

This semester was... horrible. Ok thats a lie! I really didn't do that bad. It was just really stressful, but its over now, and Keri gets here in less than 2 hours and I am so excited!

I don't really know what else to say. The last couple weeks of my life have been pretty boring, I have been doing a lot of projects and homework and studying! But now I'm done, at least until Tuesday. gotta love having a summer vacation that lasts only 4 days! haha, not!

Just in case you didn't know, I am crazy! I am staying here in the 7 week break and I am taking a Doctrine and Covenants class and working full time. So from 10-5 I will be busy Monday through Thursday, and then Friday I will be working 8-5! But then at night and on the weekend I will be partying it up every night! I'm so excited for the summer!!!

Friday, July 2

New Phone!!!

So I don't know if the story has circulated yet, but I basically am a moron, and accidently dropped my phone in the toilet. Ya, not my greatest moment in life! Anyway, it died, which sucked! I called my dad and he like couldn't hear me at all... So I went to the verizon store and got a new one! I love it so much better than the old brick I was carrying around! Its so cute! And its like really easy to use! I'm a big fan!!! Here is a picture!

Oh an P.S. Everybody should listen to Davids new song, because its amazing!!!

Its the Little Things

So I have been crazy stressed lately just realizing how close we are to the end of the semester. By far this has been the hardest and busiest semester for me, and with all my group projects, final projects, and final exams coming up in such a short amount of time.... lets just say my head feels like its about to explode with all I have to get done! So as I woke up this morning I thought that this day was... not going to be the best. I have 4 classes, 3 hours of work, I need to go to a study group, do tons of homework, FHE, and work out! YIKES!

I know its only 12:30, and my day is not even close to being over, but I have actually had a great day so far! I realized what has made it so great is the wonderful people in my life that care so much to make me happy! Like when I went to science and my friends asked me how my weekend was. So simple, but it was nice for them to care! Then as I ran into my apartment to get my wallet that I left, my roommate yelled "TARA!!!" I felt like I was home and my parents were yelling "TARA'S HOME!" (which is my favorite thing ever!) Or when I was walking to my last class and I passed 3 people that I know and they all with a huge smile said, HEY! how are you! (I really liked when the cute guy from my ward did this!) Or when I ran into my boss on campus and she just came up and gave me a huge hug, and commented on how good I was looking and that she can tell I have lost weight. Not gonna lie, that's the best compliment a girl like me can get! (maybe the best compliment ANY girl can get!) The very best little thing that made my day was when my friend Nate sat with me while I was eating lunch. Nate is my home teacher, and he is probably the best guy I have ever met ever!!! When home teachers ask, is there anything I can do for you, I'm not going to answer with.. Ya, I am always a loner who eats lunch by myself and would like a friend... And yet that is totally how I felt. Not telling him anything about how I hated eating by myself, he saw me a few weeks back and sat with me, and now he looks for me everyday to eat with me. It just is such a small thing eating lunch with somebody, but it can totally make their day!!! :D

I look back at all the great things people have done for me today and wonder if I have done anything for anyone else. I think I need to stop being so selfish and start thinking about other people more. Because if I can make people feel like the way I have felt today, then I will be doing a much better thing with my time!!!

Monday, June 21

David Concert #4

So, I saw him again! This time it was twice in one week too!!! I saw him on Thursday when he was at Desert Book signing his book, and I saw him again on Saturday at his concert in the auditorium. Not gonna lie, I LOVE going to a church school where famous mormons come all the time!!! He sang all my favorite songs from his 1st CD, and then 2 new songs that will probably be on his next CD, and then he ended with Zero Gravity. So we yelled a lot and then he came back and sang Crush, and then he sang Imagine, which was AMAZING live, and then he sang Be Still My Soul. He didn't want to forget the words so he went and got a hymn book and sang right out of it!!! SO CUTE!!! :D

Half Way There!!!

Today is June 15, halfway through the month of June. I have half the month left to finish the Iron Man. When I added up what I have finished, I got about 49%! WOOHOO!!! Its so hard though, like I had no idea. Last semester I would have spent hours in the library and maybe 20 minutes in the gym, and I feel like that has completely reversed. Last Saturday Aubrey and I were in the Hart building for over 2 hours. We did running, biking and swimming all in one day! Today I think I was there for about 1 hour. I guarantee I have spent more time at the gym and on the softball field than I have in the library. Yikes!!!

Also, I had no idea how hard life gets to have good grades, good sleep, and a good social life! Like last night, usually without a social life, I would have come home from FHE, done homework, and then went to bed. But last night, I came home, changed, went back to some guys apartment, played a game, came home, had another guy come over, talked with him til curfew, then texted him for another hour, and then went to sleep. So today instead of doing homework after my class, I had to take a nap... Maybe I shouldn't have a social life... but its just so much fun!!!

Thursday, June 10

Softball Started!!!

So after snowboarding season ended, I didn't think there was anything that could take its place until next winter when it was snowboarding season again... but guess what!!! I completly forgot how much I love softball!!! Oh my heck, it is so much fun! I wish I never stopped playing! Today was my first day in my softball class. It was the best thing ever!!! We did a bunch of drills, and then we played a game. It was the best feeling ever! I love everything about it!!!

I love being outside in the amazing weather.
I love the sound of the wind in my ear when I'm wearing my helmet.
I love the feel of my glove in the hand!
I love sprinting to the base and that feeling when you are safe!
I love that stinging feeling when you catch a ball that was hit/thrown really hard!
I love the feel of the dirt under my feet!
I love the cheers from the girls in the dugout.
I love making a run!

Also, church softball started last week! I love that just as much! I don't like how its not as well structured like real softball, but its still fun!

I love that its coed, and I get to play with guys!
I love playing with my roommate Gaby.
I love watching the boys get really into it.
I love that all my roommates come to watch my game!
I love that its not hot in June to play!
I love high-fiving everyone after I make an amazing catch!

Pretty much, softball is my love, and I am sad that I have forgotten it these last 4 years. I hope to never be parted from it from this day forward! :D

Saturday, June 5

Ward Activity

What a fabulous summer day! It started in Idaho Falls when I drove Aubrey's friend back to the airport. And then we went swimming, I did 15 laps which pretty much killed me, but I am that much closer to finishing the Iron Man. Then I did a bunch of homework! So lame! And then it was the Ward Bon Fire at the Sand Dunes! It was so much fun! We jumped off the dunes, had smores, buried some FHE members, and just had a great night! (I think I need to get a frisbee!) But ya, here are some pictures!

Tuesday, June 1

Iron Man!

No not the movie Iron Man, but the athletic event! An Iron Man is an insane triathlon. Like running 26 miles, biking 112 miles, and swimming 2.7 miles. It is pretty much INSANE to do in 1 day, and the people that do it are crazy CRAZY!!! Well our school is doing a Lazy Man Iron Man, where you have an entire month to accomplish an Iron Man Triathlon. So I started today. I went 8 miles on the bike! Hopefully I can finish in a month, if I do I get a free T-shirt! WOOHOO!!! Its pretty exciting because all my roommates are doing it with me, so wish us luck! To keep up with my progress just look at the thing on the right side bar, I will update it as often as I can! :D

Monday, May 31

3 Day Weekend!!!

What a fabulous 3 day weekend I have had so far! Friday was what seemed to be the longest day this semester, just because I covered someones shift at work, so I had 3 classes in a row and then about 6 hours of work. Finally it was 5 and I got to go home. When I got home I got all ready, and then we went bowling. It was so much fun, I haven't been bowling since I have come to college, and there are like 3 bowling alleys here in the burg! So anyway, I didn't do amazing when we played regular, but then the 2nd time we did skittles bowling, and I kinda rocked at that. I picked red skittles ALL THE TIME, and that was bowling with your opposite hand, at first it was hard, but then I got a strike with my left hand! I felt pretty accomplished! Then we went to my friend Maddogs apartment and we watched The Blind Side!

Saturday was a nice and relaxing day. I slept in for like ever, and then I got my homework done, talked to my family on the phone, and just hung out! It was nice to have a relaxing day off! Then Aubrey's friend was coming to visit us from Michigan, and she needed to be picked up from the airport, so we took a trip to IF and picked up Alisha, and then we went to the Olive Garden! My favorite part was the guy down from us looked just like Toby from the Office, so I took a pic of him and sent it to Keri and told her it really was Toby. Then I convinced her to that there was a famous people convention in town and was telling her all the different famous people I saw... I'm pretty sure she knew that I was kidding, but she went along with in, and it was so funny!!!!!!! I love her!

Sunday was also a super nice day. We went to church, came home and took a nap, made dinner for my roommates (we had plate tacos) and then we watched Saints and Soldiers! At the end of that movie, we started to watch Forever Strong, but then our FHE brothers came by and asked if we wanted to watch it with them. So we went over to there place and watched it there! Also, I signed up to be on the 44th ward softball team, I'M SO EXCITED!!! I love softball!!!

Then today, I woke up late again, watched some home-decorating shows, and got ready for the day. Later we have a BBQ to go to, and then I might study for a midterm... (maybe!) But ya, I love having this time off just to relax, and its been amazing!!! :D

One Whole Year

I cannot believe that it has been a whole year since I graduated high school. Looking back at it it seems just a few weeks ago. So much has happened since then! One of my favorite things to do at the end of a year is go through and make a little diagram of the huge events that have happened in my life since then! So I thought I would do that again.

After I graduated, the next biggest thing that happened was Summer '09. I went to Ohio (twice) and California. I saw Wicked (which was the best show ever!), and the David + Demi tour. Then I turned 18! WOOHOO! Yay for being an adult! Shortly after that, I MOVED TO IDAHO!!!

While in Idaho, live moved super duper fast. Before I knew it, it was November. I went home for Thanksgiving. In a way it was like I never left, but at the same time, I knew that AZ was no longer my home, and that I was supposed to be in Idaho. Like right after that, I got hired at the health center, and then after that, I MET DAVID ARCHULETA! And then it was Christmas! And oh what a glorious Christmas that was! My favorite part was definalty the after Christmas shopping that I got to do with Keri and Natalee!

Right after that I was back for my off-track Winter semester. I worked a bunch, took classes at night, and snowboarded all the time! Basically it was one of the best 4 months of my life. I was kinda board during this semseter, but now that I'm busy again, I look back and wish I had done more with my life then sleep in and snowboard. (not that I regret either of them, there was just more I could have been doing.)

This semester included some fun memories, like meeting Brooke White, going to Park City with the family, and surprising Keri for her birthday! What a great time! After that semester I got to spend Spring Break at my grandparents house and I got to see my sister Angell and her little kiddos. I love them so much!

And then before I knew it, it was Spring Semester, and I'm half way done with my sophmore year at college. I am crazy busy, and working all the time, but life has NEVER been better. I can't remember a time where I have been happier in my life. Like honeslty, I'm not just saying that! My roommates make me happy, my classes are going well, I get along with EVERYONE at work, and life has just been amazing lately! So ya! Thats basically it!

1 year since High School and life is going good!!! :)

Saturday is a Special Day!!!

What a wonderful day! It started with me sleeping in until about 11:00!!!! Amazing! Then I jumped out of bed and ate some breakfast, got all dressed up, and went to the temple with Aubrey! Then we got home and did a little homework. I wasn't crazy busy this weekend since I had 2 tests and a quiz to take this week, so I had less homework! I was originally planning on taking both tests today, but then I decided not to put them off, so I did my business on Thursday, and my accounting quiz and science test on Friday. I did great on both my business and accounting exams, unfortunately, someone ticked me off at work and I went into my science test with a really bad mood and ended up not doing so great. I have never gotten a C on a test before, and was SUPER upset when I saw that as my grade. Stupid C.... Anyway, back on track here, so since I didn't have a ton of homework or anything to do today, we went and spent the day at the park. It was an amazing day, the weather was PERFECT! It was the kinda day where if I was living in AZ with this weather I would wear a sweatshirt, but today I wore shorts and flip flops and laid outside in the sun! I loved it! We decided that we need to go to the park at least once a weekend! And we also made a list of things we need next time we go. Like today we had sodas from Horkleys, but next time we are also going to get a pizza from Little Ceasers, and a Frisbee. Also we need more blankets, because there were 5 of us trying to fit on 1! haha. But ya, it was the best. I need sunglasses though so I can lay down and have my face in the sun without my eyes dying. Aubrey let me use hers for a bit, and that was way nice of her. I just layed there for the longest time! I loved it! While we were at the park I crossed the street and went to Jimmy Johns for lunch/dinner! It became a picnic! So much fun!

After this we came home and went to Stake Conference where we were blessed to hear some AMAZING talks, and tomorrow our Stake Conference broadcasted from Salt Lake for the entire eastern side of Idaho, so that should be good too!

After that we went to our FHE brothers place and played some games! It was such a great day!

So ya, here are some pics from the park!

This funny little boy was just standing there staring at the girl taking a nap. She woke up and he still just kept looking at her. It was so funny!

Aubrey eating her Jimmy Johns day old bread, its only 60 cents for a whole loaf! :D

A few of my favortite things, my old navy flip flops, my soda cup, and Jimmy Johns!

Me and Lauren!!! Squishing faces is so much fun!!!!

Comedy Improv Night!!!

So since the semester started, I have had tickets for the comedy improv show that Kirby Heyborne is in!!!! Then when I got on my facebook this morning I had a message from my Uncle Todd saying that if I find Gracia Taylor she could hook me up with some Kirby time! She runs his website, and is also my Aunts friend. So they let her know that I was going to be there, and when I found her today, I told her who I was and she gave me a hug! Then I asked her if I could meet Kirby, and she said ya, so she called him, and he didn't answer. So she said she could find me after the show and hook me up. But then I went and took my seats, and she came and found me. She did that wavy thing for me to come follow her, and we went downstairs to the basement and told me to wait outside. So then he comes out, and is like... Hi, I'm Kirby! And I was like... I KNOW!!! Then I asked her why he follows my blog, and he said it was because I was such a sweet girl. I was like... How did you find it? Do you stalk me? And he said that he does! haha! So then I ask him to sign my CD, and he signed it... Tara, I love you and your blog. Kirby! then I was like, I have a camera, can I get a picture? And he took it from me and said that he was really good at this, so he reached his hand out, hugged me, and took the picture. It didn't work at first because it was a video... Then we fixed it and he took a pic. He asked me if I was going to this first show and I said ya, and then I told him after that we were going to see Iron Man, which he is going to see tomorrow! (In the comedy show he talked about seeing Iron Man... hahah!!!) Then he told me to have a good show... and I was like, no YOU have a good show! So I hugged him and I went to his show.

Then the show was absolutely hilarious! It was Who's Line is it Anyway, but BETTER! I can't even describe how funny it was because you just had to be there. So then after the show there was this meet and great.

Funny story, he actually met my roommates in the MC today while I was at work, so when he saw them he said, hey I met you! And then I was like... These are my roommates, and he was like... WOAH!!! He asked us if we liked the show and how funny it was.

Then we went and got pictures with Corbin Allred, that hottie on Saints and Soldiers, and then we got a picture with Lincoln, the weird-o from The Singles Ward.

After this whole thing, we went to see Iron Man 2! It was so good!!!

Now here's the pictures!!!
