"Want to go to California tonight?"

While I was writing the last post I mentioned how I was texting Amy about going to California. Basically we had talked about going to Tuesday, but she had to be back on Thursday, so if we left Tuesday night we would have only had one day. It was just before 5 o'clock Monday night when I suggested that we just go now! I left my house at 5, got to Tucson around 7, and the two of us drove to LA until about 3 in the morning. It was quite exhausting, but it was really fun!

Once we were in Cali we just had a blast. We played badminton (and if you know Amy and I you know how awesome we are at that sport), we sat by the pool, we played games, watched movies, went shopping, and went to the beach! There is something about shopping in Southern California that I just love so much more than shopping in Idaho... I can't quite put my finger on what it is... but its just better! hahaha.... And the beach was such a blast! We laid in sun, we found sand crabs, we boggie boarded, we ate cookies and doritios, and we napped (which probably wasn't the smartest idea).

Now, three days after that beach trip, I am still as red as can be and in as much pain as I could imagine... oh man its bad! I feel asleep on my stomach so basically my entire back is burnt. Oh well, what can you do!

Basically it was the best way to celebrate my graduation with my best friend! I think I will be making my way to Tucson one more time before I leave, I need her help shopping for my mission wardrobe!

Graduation and The Start of Summer!

So much has happened in the last little bit I feel like I have major catching up to do. Lets start with my last night in Rexburg, Idaho...

Thursday was probably one of the greatest days ever! I slept in, helped Crystal move into her storage unit, and then Bri and I played all day long!!! We went to Costa Vida (for the last time, and yes my heart did break a little), and then we just hung out together while we packed. That night all of us who finished our finals went to celebrate by doing a little bowling. We got nachos and french fries and bowled two games! It was so much fun spending that last little bit of time with my roommates. What a fantastic day!!!

Friday my mom came in early that morning, so I went to pick her up, and then the two of us worked all day long. I had a bunch of stuff that I had to get into the car, and then a lot of cleaning to do. Then it was about 3 so we went to lunch with Bri and Tyson, and then we headed to the BYUI Center. I took my mom on a small little tour of the campus where she took pictures of me in my cap and gown, and then I went and lined up. An hour and a half later, we walked into the auditorium while the graduation music was playing and everyone was looking at us. It was the coolest thing ever! The ceremony was so good, and it was such a good night! That moment when they called my name and I walked across the stage was so surreal, and so amazing! SO COOL!!!! After everything was done with Graduation my mom and I drove to Idaho Falls and slept there for the night.

Saturday we went to Utah and stayed the night in Orem, and then Sunday we drove all the way to Gilbert. Unfortunately, I had a sore throat and a cold those two days, so the road trip wasn't too much fun for me. But its over and all my stuff has been moved into the basement, and I officially live in Gilbert again!

Today has been my first day of summer since 2009, and let me tell you it has been fantastic! It started with unpacking and that was lame, but it got better! Even though nobody would go bowling with me, I still had things to do! We had Paradise Cafe for lunch, always a good choice, and then Keri and I got my car washed, went to see the Gilbert Temple, and went to the mall. I even got a slushie at QT! Brought me right back to my high school days!!! Now I am texting Amy trying to get her to come to Cali with me tomorrow, or even possible tonight! I want to go so bad, and now is really the only chance we have... hopefully her husband will soften his heart and let us go!

Other than possibly Cali in the next couple of days, I do have some awesome plans for the summer, and I am 100% ready to get this party started!!!

I am done with my life at BYU-Idaho.

September 7, 2009 I moved to Rexburg, Idaho to begin college at BYU-Idaho. Today, at approximately 3:24 p.m, I finished my last final, thus finishing my undergraduate education. It's a little of an unreal feeling, knowing that as of now, I am done with school! The possibility of a graduate degree is very real, but as of now anything could happen. Today technically could have been the very last day of school I ever have! I have learned a lot of things, but I think the most important thing I learned was how to learn. I do not feel ready to enter the work force as a Healthcare Administrator right now, but thats what work experience is for! I am sure I will be able to find an entry level job, and because I have learned how to learn, I will be able to pick up the job quickly and then advance throughout the company. Luckily I have a mission to go on before I have to freak myself out about entering the work force, but when its time I will be ready!

I am so grateful for my parents who made this goal of mine achievable! Without their support I would never have been able to get my degree! They are the best!

Saturday I am moving away from Rexburg. I am actually getting pretty choked up at the thought of leaving Rexburg. As much as I have been annoyed at the weather, or the tiny-ness of the town, or the fact that its Idaho... I have truly loved Rexburg. Its been my home for three years, and it is really sad to see this part of my life end.

Having said that... I am completely psyched out of my mind to start my next phase of life! Sister Cordner is ready to report to the MTC exactly 8 weeks from today, and she could not be more excited! Indianapolis here I come!!!

You thought I was funny....

Sometimes I have really important things to do, like study for finals, work on projects, pack up my room, or sleep. But instead I waste a few hours on pinterest and find things that make me LOL.

One More Week!!!

Dear life,

  • I am excited to finish school, but really bummed to be finishing my Mission Prep class. Seriously its been the best class I have ever had! The only good thing about this class ending is the fact that it means I am closer to going on my mission!
  • I am impatient (which we already knew) but now I'm getting envious. This kid in my mission prep class just got his call last week and he goes into the MTC before me! How is that fair?!
  • I have been super busy lately, and the only thing getting me through the craziness of finals, projects, and work is the fact that I will be a college graduate after this is over. I haven't had a break from school in 3 years, so I'm a little excited to be done!
  • I have a lot of fun things planned for this summer, like going to Colorado a couple times to see my brother, and going to Tucson to see Amy (that is if she will answer any of my calls, come on Amy!)
  • Amy just texted me saying she was going to call me soon, the timing was pretty insane! hahaha
  • I'm thinking buying the Justin Bieber CD last week was the smartest thing I have ever done! He is really helping me get through finals, and I know that he will help me get through packing up my room. I just love Justin Bieber!!!
  • Besides school, summer, my mission, and JB, I don't have a lot of other things occupying my thoughts... or else this blog would be better and funnier. Let me think of something really funny to blog about..

Ya, I can't think of anything else. Oh well.

Kidnapped

Today I was kidnapped by my roommates after work. I didn't even have a chance to go in the apartment, I just pulled into the parking lot and they were there ready to pick me up and take me some crazy place! Turns out that crazy place was Red Robin in Idaho Falls!!! YUMMMMM!!!! And then we went to Target! And to top it off how crazy fun and spontaneous this trip was, Crystal bought me a 1D Magazine, with a bunch of posters!!! It was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me! (Wow if that was the truth than I need nicer friends!)

Anyway, I just had the best week ever and it ended with the best Friday night ever! And tomorrow... YELLOWSTONE! I would be telling you to expect pictures but with my camera missing and all... I just don't see how thats gonna happen! But if you want you can just google image Yellowstone, and then put a picture of me in that image, and then you will get the main idea!

Peace and Blessings everyone... peace...and...blessings...

Epiphany

Yesterday I just had the best evening with one my best friends Gaby! We watched a Chick Flick and ate little caesars pizza and drank orange soda! (Basically thats the definition of Gaby and Tara time!) Then once it got dark we drove up to the temple and parked the car where we can see most of Rexburg. We sat in the back of my car and watched the fireworks all over the city. This may seem dumb but I just feel that Gaby and I have the most profound and best conversations there are. While we were watching the fireworks and talking, I had the best epiphany ever! I just came to my senses about something thats been bugging me, and now I just feel great!!!

Also, Gaby and I are going to Yellowstone next Saturday, and I can hardly wait! Yay for Yellowstone!!!

Also also, two weeks from today I will be done with school! Thats right, I'm picking up my cap and gown in 14 days!!! How great is that!!!

Also also also, ten weeks from today I'm gonna be on my mish! I just don't think life could get much better than it is right now!!!

k, that is all...

Halfway Gone!

10 weeks ago from Thursday I got my mission call...
10 weeks from tomorrow I go into the MTC!!!

...I'm halfway gone... and I'm on my way, and I'm feeling, feeling, feeling this way... cuz you're halfway here but don't take too long... cuz I'm halfway gone, I'm halfway gone!!!

Okay, that was a little cheesy adding the Lifehouse lyrics like that, but thats how I feel! I'm halfway there!!! This has been a really long 10 weeks! The day I opened my call was the day I was ready to go into the MTC, and I had 20 weeks to wait! I guess they knew that I needed to have my patience tested! But now I only have 10 left, so I think if I could survive that first half and I can survive this last half! Plus this second half I won't have school and work, so hopefully it will be better!

Today has been just a great day! I woke up and did my study for my mission prep class and started singing my own, "I Hope They Call Me on a Mission." It's hard to fit the words Indianapolis Indiana in that song. Just imagine... "I'm glad they called me on my mission, to Indianapolis Indiana." I mean it kind of fits, but its just a little wordy! Darn that 10 syllable mission call name! lol. And that just kind of started off my day in a great way! Then I had mission prep which was awesome, but sad when I realized I only have 3 classes left! Then I went to sewing and sewed some zippers for my sample pieces! Its actually kinda fun!

And for the rest of the day... I have no tutoring appointments, so I'm gonna take a nap right now, then do my research for my final Comm project, then do some Econ, then study Nutrition, then take my Nutrition Exam... and then.... GIRLS NIGHT!!! We single ladies of the apartment 3407 have a fun filled evening with Noah from the Notebook, Landon from a Walk to Remember, and perhaps John from Dear John or Will from The Last Song! I'm kinda hoping we could do all 4! Oh how we just love Nicholas Sparks for bringing these guys into our lives!

In closing... I only have 10 more weeks. Today has been awesome! I love chick flick movies!!!
