So the very first day of break I was complaining to my friend about how I am going to be bored a lot of the break, and he told me I needed to get some hobbies! What kind of hobbies could I pick up to keep me entertained for the next little bit! I mean I am pretty busy during the day, I wake up around 8, get ready, do some homework, go to class, go to work, and then I'm home by 5. So 8-5 I'm busy, but other than that I don't have a ton going on.
One of my new hobbies started up again the other day when I had to do my laundry. I was going to watch TV and eat ice cream while I waited for my laundry to be done, but instead I sat down at the piano in the lounge and started to play. I forgot how much I like playing! I started with the song Crush. I learned it senior year, you see my dreams were that one day I would be randomly in LA, sit down at a piano and start playing that song. Then David would turn the corner and see me, kind of like a Camp Rock moment when Shane hears Mitchy play. Then David would fall in love with me and the two of us would be married that next day...kind of like in Enchanted, Oh Giselle, we shall be married in the morning!!! Haha, anyway so I played that song again, and then I started playing some hymns that I once learned and tried to teach myself new ones!
My other new hobby is... brace yourself... reading books!!! I know that might sound crazy coming from me... but its the truth! A while back I got Davids book (this blog sure does seem to be about him a lot huh) and I started reading it! I just got it so that he can sign it and I can look at pictures. But during the break I decided to go for it! Then I have been noticing a ton of people talking about the Hunger Games so yesterday at work I googled it, and on google books it comes up! Except they take out random pages. So I got hooked on it while I read the first couple of pages at the office, and I went to WalMart right after that to buy the book. Last night I read it until about 1:00, and then I woke up this morning and read it until about... an hour ago! haha. I literally read it for 10 hours! And I finished it! And now I am going crazy because I can't find the 2nd book anywhere in Rexburg. Part of me wants to drive to IF tonight to buy the 2nd book... but I don't think I will!
In Bride Wars, the blond girl never cries, and than at the end she is like crying a lot. And she says, "Its like a whole new me!" That's what I feel like right now! All my new hobbies are like a whole new me! haha, well not really I guess. I have always known how to play the piano and I have read books before... so anyway, that's what I have been up to! :D

Clean Christine
The first thing my mom did when she got her new Volvo was road trip us all the way to the grand canyon. When my dad got his new BMW, we went on multiple road trips, up in the superstition mountains, down to Bisbee, and then he went (WITHOUT ME) to Yellowstone! Well now it was my turn! Christine was begging me to take her somewhere outside the little Rexburg area. And since I love her so much, I agreed! It was supposed to be a big roommate trip, but 2 of my roommies backed down, so we had room in my car for more people. So I invited my friend Thomas to tag along. Then my other two roommates backed down. So it ended up just being me and Thomas and Christine! We went to Jackson Hole Wyoming, and it was such a fun trip!
BIGFOOT!!! AAAHHHHHH............
It was such a gorgeous drive. I should have taken more pictures of the trip but my battery was pretty close to dying on account of leaving it in the living room and having my roommates take multiple pictures of themselves! haha
Anyway, after we got home, Christine was pretty gross looking. She probably, no joke, had 50+ bugs die on her. Did I care about the bugs, NO! I cared about her poor windshield. Also we broke my rule of no eating in the car. I was getting pretty hungry on our way into the town, so we ate some crackers, and some Sour Patch Kids. Both leaving lots of crummys on the ground. :( I wanted to give it a carwash the second I got home, but it was pretty cloudy. The next two mornings I have woken up to tons of water spots all over her. Dang it rain! But today was a really pretty and clear day, so I decided after FHE to give her a car wash! I went to this place on the outskirts of town, I mean, it was like past wal*mart... crazy huh! But anyway, it was all very exciting. My roommate Heather and I had a blast! I got the deluxe wash, which was only the 2nd out of 4, I didn't think Christine was dirty enough for the $7.00 one....
After that fun adventure, we went to the little vacuum machine, put in a dollar, and vacuumed out all the crummys. I did my side and then I handed it to Heather and she did her side! Right after that we went to Wal*mart and I bought some wipes, it was in a package of two, and it was like, wipes for the window, and wipes for the dash! I'm pretty sure I am spoiling her, but Christine has been nothing but good to me! She deserves it!
Oh and guess what else, she has just gone over 500 miles.... they grow up so fast!!!
*BTW, if you didn't already know, Christine is the name of my car!!!

Do you remember...
Do you remember? Do you remember? Do you remember... All of the times we had....
That's like one of my favorite songs. One time it came on in my car right as we were pulling into the parking lot, and me and my roommates stayed in the car and sang it until it was done.... haha, do you remember the time we sang do you remember in my car! :D That was a good time!
Want to hear of another good time I was thinking about recently. It was Easter and my family was pretty much grown up, but Keri and I still wanted to paint Easter eggs. I think I was a junior in high school. My mom had bought the stuff and told us that she boiled some eggs for us earlier that day. So that night Keri and I color the eggs! So on Easter, we didn't hide them, but we were going to eat them... so Keri pulls out one of the eggs we colored and goes to open it like you do with a hard-boiled egg, and it turns out we colored regular eggs, and the boiled eggs were in a different container! hahaha
How about when I was in high school... and I had watched a scary show, I think it was Supernatural, at my friend Alix's house, and we were freaked out. And then I go home, and before I went to tell my mom that I was home I went to the bathroom or somewhere... and so I am going down the hallway to my parents room and their door is cracked. When I reach for the door, I see my moms hand grab the door and I screamed! I had just watched a super scary show and here is someones hand appearing out of no where... SO SCARY!!!
My mom may not like me sharing this one, but last week when her and my dad were here for my birthday, we were playing Settlers a lot, (half of which I won!) and during one of the games my mom asked me if I ever go cow tipping! She says she felt bad for the cows because they can't get back up, they are stuck on their noses. I explained to my mom that you don't literally TIP the cow on its face, you push it over on its side... According to her that is just cow pushing over!!! I am pretty sure I have never laughed harder in my entire life!!!!
Or even just yesterday, I was at cold stone with my roommate and I got a call from Ty! He asked what the area code was for where I am living... So I say, 83440... and he says... alright, that's the zip code, now I need the area code... and I start dying laughing in the middle of cold stone. They guy was just about to take my order when I am standing there laughing uncontrollably. Ty was laughing too which just made me laugh harder. Eventually I was able to get the words out and I could say, 208... but it was really hard!
awww memories!!!

Am I a grown-up already?
So if turning 18 turns you into an adult, what does being 19 make you? And when do you start being a grown-up? I definably DO NOT feel grown-up! Sure I live away from my parents, I take classes and work all day, I bought myself a car... these are grown-up things I guess, but I do not feel grown. I still love tons of childish things...
I love all the teen-celebrities out there. My favorites include David Archuleta, Demi Lovato, the Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Zac Efron, and more.
I love taking naps! (this may be a bad example though, I feel like grown-ups need naps more than children do)
I love doodling, you think someone with a GPA like mine wouldn't sit in class and draw stars, spirals and hearts all over her paper, but I do!
I love going on the swings, the park across the street has swings, and its my favorite just walking over there and swinging.
I love meeting, flirting, and hanging out with boys... one day I will have to choose just one and be with him forever (scary)!
I love calling NOSE GOES when someone needs something done!
I love staying in my pajamas on those days when I don't have to be anywhere or really do anything...
The reason I was thinking about this today is because everything around me makes me feel like I should be an adult. I am wearing my new nice slacks with a nice blouse and a lab coat at work. Children do not typically wear that kind of outfit, nor do they go to work. The eye doctor called me today and said my new contacts were in. Children do not typically make their own eye-appointments and order new contacts. I have to run adult-errands today, like going to the grocery store and the bank. Children do not run these errands alone... Maybe I am doing grown-up like things, but I am so so so not ready to be a grown-up....

Ghosts of Birthdays Past
If you know me, (which I hope you do since you are reading my blog, if not you're a creeper and maybe should stop reading this) then you might know that I love my birthday! Its the real deal for me! I'm getting so excited for tomorrow! The Big 1-9! I CANT WAIT!!! haha, In all honesty, this isn't that big of a birthday, but there is kind of a negative connotation when you tell people up here that you're only 18! I can see where it comes from because some 18 year old college students can act silly, me included, but still, being 19 just sounds so much better! But I did like that I could say, ya I'm a junior, oh and I'm 18... That was kinda fun for a while!
Anyway, I was thinking about my past few birthdays, and wanted to reminisce on them...
15th- It was a Saturday, and there was a Stake Dance that night! My moms present to me was some cash and a trip to the mall! I loved it, I got a lot of cute new clothes and got all ready for the dance that night! And then my friends told the DJ it was my Birthday and they sang to me! Ahhh.... fun times!
16th- I had gotten my cast off 2 days before my birthday. My parents told me that was my birthday present! NO MORE CAST!!! Not quite the present I wanted, but I liked not having the cast. It was a Sunday on my birthday and when I got home from church, my best friend Amy had snuck into my house and decorated my room. Like hard core decorations. Pink streamers and more pink balloons than I have ever seen! What a sweetheart she is! Then later that day my parents pulled me aside and said, hey, we need to talk... I thought I was getting in trouble on my birthday, instead they asked me if I was interested in a trip to Europe for the next summer! UM, HECK YES!!!
Who would turn that down?!?! The next day I got 16 balloons from my friends at school, and my dad picked me up and took me to the DMV to get my license! Good times!
17th- My senior year had JUST started, and I needed a job, badly! What a hard first few weeks of school it was looking for a job. I had an interview on my birthday, so lame! So since I was an awesome senior and had a half day at school, I had a lunch party for my friends and me. It was Hannah Montana themed! And no, I wasn't and am still not ashamed of that! It was awesome. We had pizza and cake, and then I opened presents from my friends! I miss them a ton! After the party I scurried off to the interview, which I bombed, and then came home and ate some more cake! :D
18th- This probably SHOULD be the most exciting, but it was just kind of another day. My parents were both out of town, and Amy was gone somewhere too... I went to work where I wore a princess crown all day, and then my boss paid for me to go out to lunch with all my coworkers. We went to Barros, which I just put together is what pizza I ate on my 17th. Then when I got off work, Keri was at home as cute as ever. She had drawn me a picture of all the fun things I can do now that I am 18! I loved it. Then I called my friends Morgan and Staci, and us with Keri went to dinner at the yummy Italian place behind my subdivision.
And for the future...
19th- AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! I am going to go to my class in the morning, take a mid-term (blah) and then go to IF to pick up my parents at the airport. Then we are going straight to the Honda dealership where I will buy myself the best birthday present ever! A CAR!!! I can't wait, I think I am going to name it Clive... :D Then my parents and I are going to go to The Olive Garden, and then play Settlers of Catan, and then my friend with a movie projector is going to show Sherlock Holmes on the side of a building and we are all getting together to watch it! Then on Saturday, Party at the Dunes!!! :D
So ya, I love my birthdays! Thanks mom for giving me a birthday! LOVE YA!!!

Just Waiting...
I don't know if anyone else has ever thought about this, but it has been on my mind a lot lately. I feel like I spend my entire life waiting. It seems like there is always something that is going to be happening that I am waiting for.
For example today:
Went to work, and spent the day waiting to be done with work.
Sent a text message to someone, and waited to get a respond.
Went to the kitchen to make my lunch, and waited for the microwave to beep.
Then I get off work, and now I am waiting for my friend to get off work...
I'm sure when I get to Red Robin tonight I will be sitting there waiting for my food to come.
In the long run...
I am waiting for someone to get back into town!
I am waiting for my parents to come see me!
I am waiting for my birthday!
I am waiting to get my new car!
I am pretty much always waiting for a text message.
I am waiting for my roommies to return back to me in the fall.
I am waiting to get my scholarship money!
I am waiting for the day I can go home again (probably Thanksgiving and then Christmas)
I am waiting for the best vacation ever! PARK CITY! (even if I can only go 1 day)
In the longer run...
I am waiting to be done with school so I can start working!
I am waiting to see if Graduate school really is for me.
I am waiting to find the special someone who will take me through the temple so we can be married for time and all eternity.
I am waiting to be a cute little house wife.
I am waiting to go on vacations with my siblings and their spouses to Disneyland (which my sister promised we would do since I missed the last Disneyland trip)
I am waiting for the day that I will leave my kids with my husband and meet my sister at Paradise Bakery Cafe like we have talked about so many times!
I am waiting the day that I will return to Europe, even if that day doesn't exist, I am still waiting for it!
point is, I feel like I am always just waiting... Maybe if I spent more time in the moment than looking forward to future events, life wouldn't feel so long!!!

Summer
So it may seem like my life is really lame since I have not updated my blog in a while, but its actually quite the opposite! I have had the best summer break ever! (If you can call what I am doing a break!) I have class everyday from 10:00-11:40, and then I work from 12:00-5:00, except on Fridays when I work from 8:00-5:00. Then after work I go home and hang with my awesome new roommates whom I love!
Some big events that have happened since school got out:
Keri came and visited with me!
Moved into my new apartment
Got my grades back and only got 1 B, and was awarded a full ride scholorship!
Went to FHE and made some new friends ;)
Saw the movies Inception (again), Eclipse (again), and Charlie St. Cloud in theaters.
Road tripped down to Utah with Keri
Road tripped back up to Rexburg
And have watched Space Jam, Iron Man, the beginning of X-Men, Forever Strong, and When In Rome (but I didn't really watch it, I was distracted)
I love love love my new roommates, and I love the laid-back chill atmosphere that comes in Rexburg during the summer. I love that I get to stay up late and sleep in, and I love that I have made so many new friends! I haven't been the best at bringing my camera places cuz I never quite unpacked everything in my new apartment since I am just moving back in a month... but I will try to take some pics of the summer!
