Lame

A dear friend of mine posted about being Lame a little while ago. Apparently... she is not the only one.

I was told by another dear friend, who shall remain nameless (we could call her K. Cordner... NO... Keri C.) has told me that I too... am lame.

I guess when you are 20 years old (which I'm not for another 12 days...) it is not cool to post a blog about how you have TV boyfriends. I would like to formally apologize to my nameless friend for being such a lame older sister, I mean a lame friend...

I understand that Dr. Mcdreamy and that Michael Scofield are not real people. I also understand that we are in no way in a real relationship. I also understand that no time soon will we be in a relationship. In fact, I would rather Meredith Grey and Sara Tancredi be in a relationship with these men.

But for the time being, my roommates and I need a cute boy to long after, and it just happens to be Mr. Michael Scofield. I'm sorry if my TV crush has put me amongst the lame-os. If there is anything I could do to be taken off the list of lame-os, please... let me know!

Boyfriends

Previously I posted about not wanting to be bored. I was mentioning this same thing to my roommates boyfriend. I was telling them that this was the first time ever that I have not been in classes, and that I don't know what to do with all my extra free time. He told me I finally have time to have a boyfriend. So now I can get on that and get a boyfriend! (Because its really that easy to just get a boyfriend!) Since the one guy that I really want to be my boyfriend isn't here right now... I decided to get an alternative boyfriend... his name is Michael Scofield. I have been watching Prison Break religiously since I ended Greys Anatomy (when my previous boyfriend was a brain surgeon I liked to call McDreamy!) Michael is basically gorgeous, and caring, and thoughtful, and insanely smart, and did I mention gorgeous... and he loves his family. Everything I ever wanted in a boyfriend! I decided that this was a good match. I have been on some really great dates this weekend. Friday night... Netflix. Saturday night... Netflix!!! I'm guessing that tomorrow night, I have another date lined up!

Who has time for real boyfriends when there are so many on Netflix!

Free Snow Cone!!!

Brian Regan played little league baseball for the free snow cones at the end of the game.

I work for doctors for pretty much the same reason!

When I was working at the Orthodontics office, other specialties would send us paradise cafe cookies, donuts, and all sorts of assorted Christmas candies just because we referred people to their office. One time I got a bath and body works kit from a different office!

Today the nurse came to the front office and said there was Jamba Juice in the back! I went back there, and a doctor from the radiology office we refer people to had a cooler of 25 Jambas in it, with the different flavors written on them. So I got a razzmatazz. It was the coolest thing ever! Our break room had transformed into a Jamba Juice, and we could get any of those flavors for free!!!

That is why I work for doctors!!! All the wonderful free stuff we get!

Boredom

I haven't been bored in a long time... I am always so busy between school and work that I don't even have time to think about being bored. But I am done with school, until January at least, and I'm afraid that I am going to get bored. I remember talking to Ty right after he finished his bachelors degree. He was saying how bored he was when he got done with work, because he had no assignments to work on, no papers to write, nothing to study, and nothing to learn! I laughed at him at the time, but now I am feeling his pain! Today I did 10 sudoku puzzles! TEN!!! Thats way to many for 1 day. The LAST thing I want to do is be bored without school. I thought about taking online classes, but there really isn't a point. I have 2 semesters left, and I need to save my classes for those.

So I need to think of things to keep me occupied between the hours of 5p.m. and 8a.m. I will be sleeping for probably 8 of those hours, but that still leaves 8 hours for me when I'm not asleep and when I'm not at work to do something... So what should it be!? I have decided that I am going to give plasma this summer. It will be nice to have a little extra cash, and it really is good to give plasma! So that will be my extra money/service project twice a week! I will be attending the temple more regularly than I have been during the semester. I need it! And I also plan on like losing 400 pounds! (K not really... but 40 would be nice!) So sometime I will have to schedule in working out! But I still am afraid I will have a lot of down time! I have contemplated getting a 2nd job, maybe a part time night thing where I just work 6 to 10 each evening at some restaurant or opinion center or something... Just because if I'm not working, I will be sitting in front of my laptop or TV, and that is no way to spend a summer.

Any ideas of new hobbies or fun things to do to keep me occupied are much appreciated! I really don't want to be bored!!!

Best Email Ever!

I finished my final presentation today for my Comm class. Last thing I had to do was take my math final and I would be done... so I get to work, pull up my email, and see this...



If it is really hard to see, the email says,

You will not have to take the final for Math 111. Congratulations! I’ll just give you your average test score for the final, and you’ll have an A for the course (you don’t need to come on Tuesday). Thanks for working hard; it was a pleasure having you in class.

BEST DAY EVER!!!

I'm done!!! No more school until January! I just don't know what I'm going to do with myself!!!

New Job!!!

I got a new job today, technically it is an internship, but its a lot better than an internship! Its a full time paid job working as the Operations Lead at the health center! They have never had middle management at the health center before, and one of the Doctors that works there just made three new positions open up for students in the middle management area. So of course I applied, had an interview last Friday, and got one of the positions today! Its not the position I applied for, but the Doctor told me this position was harder. He said they really needed me to be the Operations Lead! So I agreed to taking it and I let my supervisor know that I wouldn't be a receptionist in the Fall. I'm a little confused as of right now what my day to day job will look like. I know I will be working 8 hours a day between the hours of 8 to 5. They said I might need to learn how to work in the back just in case they need someone in the back, so I might be getting some training in Medical Assisting!!! As the operations lead I will be working in between the doctors and the students. My current supervisor will now report to me, which I think is going to be really weird! I'm going to be getting paid more than I have ever earned before, so I'm really excited to save up lots of money for Grad School, since I haven't been the best at saving my part-time job money. I will start working sometime this summer. They want me to start the week before school starts, but since I will be at the SHC all summer as a receptionist, I might get a head start on some of my work then! I filled out some paperwork today to get it approved as my internship. Once its approved I will drop the classes I originally signed up for and postpone them until the Winter. So my new plan is Fall-Internship, Winter-Full Semester of classes, Spring- 3 classes I have left over, July 2012- GRADUATE!!! Thats in 54 weeks my friends! I graduate in 54 short weeks... oh no, then I have to be a real person... I'm not sure if I'm ready for that! Good thing I have 54 long weeks until that happens! Yay for plans changing and for being excited about them!!!

I Love Him!!!

I know that I am turning 20 in 5 weeks, but really I feel like I am just a little 17 year old who is hard core crushing on the mormon boy on American Idol...




In 2009 I got the chance to see him 3 times! First two were in Arizona with my sister Keri.

Then he came to my school... and I got to meet him!!! (aka, happiest day ever!!!)



In 2010 I saw him 3 times again!


First he came to Desert Book store to sign my book, and then I got this creeper shot!


Then he sang at my school again!!!


BEST ONE EVER is when I saw him sing with the Tabernacle Choir at Christmas. No pictures from that time, but it was the best I have ever seen him!

The reason I post is because today I was just online, got on his twitter, followed that to his website, clicked on upcoming shows, thought about ways I could go to Asia in the next month so I could follow his Asian tour... when I saw this...




If you can't really read that... it says that he will be in GILBERT ARIZONA IN SEPTEMBER!!! AAAAHHHHH.... (thats my hometown!) So the Constitution Days that I used to hate because they made us watch a horribly boring movie in our homerooms is the SAME Constitution Days that David will be singing at THIS SEPTEMBER! I guess I will be making a special weekend trip home the week after school starts! haha...



I CAN'T WAIT! The first thing I wanted to do was scream (which I did) and then call my sister. Too bad she is in Greece, and won't be home for another 2 days. I just can't take it anymore. I need my sister to come home, I need to scream on the phone with her and make plans with her and see our favorite American Idol alumni together!!!

I have had two this week! I used to get them all year round in Arizona, but in Idaho, they have sno cone shacks that only open in the summer time. So I have to soak it up while I can! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE shaved ice! It is so good!!!

Also, my new favorite restaurant...

Costa Vida!!!

I went there for the first time last Winter, and this Spring I have a roommate who loves it! I started going a lot more, and now I go all the time! Its my favorite place ever! I almost always get a sweet pork salad, but sometimes I just go all the way for it and get a big ol burrito! So good!!!

So ya, for some reason I just felt like blogging about food today. Maybe its because I am hungry, or maybe because I just had shaved ice, and while I was having it, I thought... dang, this is so good! I should share with the world about how good it is!
