Romeo, Romeo....

Who wants to hear the best story EVER!!!

So me and my roommates last night thought there was a dance, so we all got super cute! Then we got a text from our friend who was going to the dance first telling us that the dance is actually Saturday night, and not Friday night.

So here we are, 6 girls all dolled up ready to go out for the night with no where to go. So we decided to start walking around.

We got to the gardens and saw a big group of people, but we didn't really think anything of it and we just walked around them. So we get to this little gazebo type thing and stopped walking. One of my roommate Lauren gets behind the little opening in the gazebo and calls out ROMEO ROMEO... WHEREFORE ART THOU ROMEO...

At that same second a guy comes running towards us yelling... AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.....

We all started dying laughing, and he sat down by us and was like, did I miss something. So we told him how he has the perfect timing in the world, it was so funny! We kept talking to him and then we were like, oh ya, whats your name... He said his name was Romeo, and we all laughed! Then his brother came, we just called him Mr. Capulet because we couldn't remember another name from that play!

I guess there was a group of them playing capture the flag in the gardens. He asked us if we wanted to play but we were all dressed up, I was even wearing heals, so we said no thanks. We kept talking to him for like 20 minutes, we talked about hanging our maybe next weekend, he said he would "supply the guys" for us! Then he decided he should help his team, so he starts running off and yells, Next Friday at 9! Be there!

It was just so funny how we met him! :D Anyway, I love my roommates, and it is going to be such an amazing semester!

Learn Something New Every Day!!

Fun new Life Fact I learned today!

Umbrellas are used for something other than providing you with shade during a soccer game and the beach...

They do a very good job at keeping you dry when its raining outside!!!

Well at least they should do a good job when they are not turning upside down and flying off like Mary Poppins...

I hate the rain!

Another fun fact for the day!

People that say they love this kind of weather must clincally be insane! Who would love getting all cute in the morning and walking outside just to get soaked. NOT FUN!
Who loves waking up to a gloomy, cloudly, dark day. ALSO NOT FUN!

We don't sing a song called, There is Cloudy/Rainy/Yucky in my Soul Today... We sing that There is SUNSHINE in my Soul!

I can't WAIT for the sun to come out again!!!

Back at it!

So last week I had a wonderful break! I spent the week at my grandparents house in Orem! It was way fun being able to see some of my friends at BYU! And then my sister Angell came with her kiddos, and that was also super fun! Then on Saturday my dad ran the SLC Marathon, and we went down to see him! What a crazy man! Then, on Sunday I came back to Rexburg!

My new apartment is awesome! My roommates are so much fun! Yesterday before classes started, me and Gaby went shopping, we got our books, grocerys, some decorations, and then I went to work for a few hours. When I came back we started to decorate our apartment, and so far it looks GREAT! I will take pictures when it is all done and clean! Then we had a "roommate meeting/party" last night becasue we didn't have FHE set up yet. We introduced ourselves, we talked about decoration ideas, we named the apartment (the name is... The Yoorooga, it means The Home in some language we don't know!) Then we had a roommate excursion where we went to Horkleys and got our soda cups that we can use this semester! Horkleys has way cheap soda, espically when its a refill! Then we played this card game that I had never heard of before, but I dominated! I don't know if they will want to play games with me anymore!

After that I got ready and went to bed! Then I was up this morning at 6 getting ready for my classes. I had 2 today, Medical Terminology and Teachings of the Living Prophets. So far I like them both! Tuesdays are my nice easy days! Tomorrow I have 4 classes, American Epidemic, Accounting, Managing Healthcare Providers, and a Finance class! On top of that I have to work for 3 hours tomorrow! Pretty much I will be on campus from 7:30 until 5:00 just in classes and working, then I will have to go to the library to study! Ahhh....

But ya, so far so great! I have a feeling its going to be a great semester!!!

Recipe for a Perfect Day!

Kirby Heyborne!

"If you shoot for the stars and you only end up in outer space, at least... there you are"
-Sons of Provo

If anyone remembers me from 8th grade, they will remember me (and Amy) being OBSESSED with Sons of Provo. Like honestly, we went to see it in the theaters like 3 or 4 times, we constantly listened to the CD, and we went to the Sons Of Provo website like everyday after school. We both really liked Kirby Heyborne too. She bought one CD of his and I bought the other, and we always wanted to see him live. But the one time he came to AZ I had to work that night. So she got to meet him without me. And then finally when I got up here to Idaho I went to see him at the schools I-Night Extravaganza!

Anyway, the reason I brought this up is because randomly today at work I was looking at my blog and saw that I had 6 followers. I didn't even know people followed me! Well one of those 6 is Mr. Kirby Heyborne himself! It was so crazy! I don't even know how he found my blog or why he is following me, but it made me feel happy, and I thought I would write a blog post about it! haha

Other favorite Kirby movies
Singles Ward
Singles 2nd Ward
The RM
The Best 2 Years
Saints and Solders
(there are more but these are my favoritest!!!)

Anyway, thanks for following me Kirby! It made my day!!!

My Day at the Salon!

There is no better way to end a semester than to spend the day at the salon! I totally deserve it after all the craziness of college! So I made the appointment on Monday for a 10 oclock hair cut. Well little did I know my day was going to be a lot more than a hair cut!

So I get there right at 10 and I show Tami (the best hair stylist EVER!) the picture I want. (the one from the previous blog post.) She told me she could totally do that but it just won't look the same because this girl in the picture has highlights and I don't. I told her I always thought about getting highlights but I never have. She told me that if I wanted to, she could get them for me right now! I felt bad because I had only made the appointment for a hair cut and this would take a lot longer, but she told me she was basically open all day, so she went and blocked out some time for me to get my hair highlighted. Then she went and started to mix some colors while I waited. She was so nice to me. We talked about like everything, and she basically knows my whole life story! I told her how I'm not crazy into make-up because I never really learned a ton about it, so I don't wear that much. She called her friend a Mary Kay consultant and had her come in! Then once all the highlights were in, I went to sit under one of those blow-dryers. I felt like Elle Woods! haha! Then she was telling me how she wanted to wax my eyebrows, and she said she would do it for free! So once my hair was done in that upside down bowl thing, she took me to the sink and washed my hair, and then did my eyebrows. By this time the Mary Kay lady was there. She gave me tons of samples, and we just talked forever about different ways to do make-up, and how I should use eyeliner because it would really make my eyes pop! While I was talking with her, a customer came in who thought she had an appointment to get her hair dyed. Turns out she did have that appointment, but it had gotten lost or something, and Tammy felt to bad. So she asked me if I was ok waiting, and I was, so she started working on this other girl. I guess this other girl had had this appointment for the past 3 weeks and needed to get her hair done before she went on a cruise. Anyway, so I was just sitting there waiting for her appointment to finish up, and Tami felt so bad, that she let me use their tanning booth for free. So I laid there for 10 minutes, and I loved it! I don't think I will go tanning a lot because I am wicked afraid of getting skin cancer (especially since I lived in AZ for so long, I just think I could get it pretty easy if I went tanning!).

So ya, when I was done with the tanning, Tami was ready to finish up my hair cut. She flat ironed it, and then cut it and shaped it. She also thinned it out so it works well with the style. Pretty much I look like a different person! Its insane. So I took some pictures of the new me. Unfortunately I don't have a before pic, but its ok!

Sorry if my face looks silly, just focus on the hair! haha

Almost There...

Last night I finished my last 2 finals! I had a science final in the testing center. I had a 91 going into the final, I got at 91 on the final, and my total grade for the class is.... a 91!!! Who would have guessed it. I'm a little sad that I didn't get an A. He said the first day of class that is was really hard to get an A in his class, because you need at least a 95 or more, whereas most teachers give you an A when you have a 93 or more. Either way, I deserved an A-. I know that an A- is a good grade, but when it lowers your GPA, and you are trying to get a full-ride scholarship, the littlest bit of GPA lowering makes me sad...

After I took my science final, I went to my classes. My Humanities Final was a take-home, and I couldn't find 2 answers, so I got those 2 wrong, but I got everything else right. So I got a 98 on that final. I'm not sure what my final grade is in that class because he hasn't added a lot of the last projects we had, last time I checked I had a 88 in that class, but he still has a LOT to add, and so I am hoping to get that up to at least a 90!

So ya, I am pretty much finished. All I have to do is clean my apartment for the white glove checks on Tuesday, pack up all my stuff, and go to my last Book of Mormon class. I also am working a lot next week, which is good because I love my job! So ya, after all that happens, then I get to play for a week in Utah and see my nieces!!! Its going to be a party! I'm so excited!!!
